When do most college students head on spring break, and what are some of the best places in US? Im looking to plan something this year but not sure exactly when would be the best time to go to catch the best night life and where.

Well the answer I'll give you depends on whether or not you're a shady old man.
Actually, really just go to Ibiza.
the best spring break in the world is in Negril Jamaica. Stay on 7 mile beach. Live reggae. Topless coed volleyball. Redstripe. Ganja. Ricks Cafe cliff diving. Jerk Chicken......
The exact opposite time of UM's.
That is 100% true this year.
U of M's spring break coincides with flight specials though for what it's worth
This year I'll be spending my spring break at home working on my Accounting project. It's gonna be sweet.
Fairlane Center represent.
I was thinking myrtle beach or fort lauderdale since theyre both not too far
Drew Sharp wants you to stay away from Dorsey's hood. It's dangerous.
Oh yeah, Myrtle Beach is good. I got tons of butt there in my heyday...
...no, no I didn't. But you could imagine what it'd be like if I did.
Chris Farley reference from Billy Madison. Love it!
+1 to you!
Go to Mardi Gras! Seriously - go!
I went for spring break my senior year as part of a cruise like 50 of us went on. Being at Mardi Gras was beyond epic.
Buy one beer - get 2 free. For realz. Let alone giant hand grenade shaped beverages made entirely of hard alcohol.
3. Panama City, FL
4. Bahamas / Jamaica
5. Puerto Vallarta
6. South Padre Island, TX
7. Europe ??
8. North America Ski Resorts
10. Puerto Rico
is awesome, but make sure you go during one of the busy times. It's amazing. I would avoid Myrtle Beach as that is for families, golfers, and high school kids.
I also went to Acapulco, which is the upscale version of Cancun (you dress nicely, the clubs are beautiful, the crowd a little older, like Seniors and grad students).
I spent last spring break in the fishbowl writing my senior thesis. If you're looking for a rocking good time and tremendous computer availability (both Mac and PC!) I highly recommend it.
just go to gainesville, everyday is like spring break down there. I use to go visit my buddy from hs who goes to UF during michigan's spring breaks...tons of girls going out everynight, needless to say, i would also get seasonal depression after the trip...
Tally is the place to go. It is a magical place with amazing drink specials that I had a hard time believing was real.
i'm heading to tally monday for the second time for work. the rest of the city is not good. but yes, everything near the campus is "magical" and "amazing" and un"believing"able. good call.
I like to time travel on spring break.
i'm heading to the Virgin Islands. apparently there are lots of virgins there or so i hear.
You won't regret the trip, but you might regret what you don't remember.
Keller, TX. If you want to go to the suburbs of a land locked city where it won't be exceptionally warm out, look no further.
I went to Acapulco in '04 along with what seemed like UM's entire campus and it was a blast. Like always there was only like 3 schools on break at the same time as us but it was still packed with spring breakers
I live in Pensacola, which is next to Panama City. It's always fun to see our beaches overrun with very pasty midwestern girls. Nothing against pasty people, its just a rare sight down here.
we were looking into that but when would the most people show up.
Going skiing is way cooler than going someplace warm for spring break. Beach=boring, Slopes=awesome. Sure it might be a little colder, but that's why the hot tubs are so much fun! If you have a little money, head to one of the Colorado resorts with an actual town nearby (like Aspen). Or, if you're like me and my roommates, be cheap and go to Canada--drinking age is 19 in Ontario, and Canadians are some of the nicest people ever.
i used to work for a mtv spring break company studentcity.com, ive been lucky enough to go to alot of hot spots. Panama city is #1 for the US, outside of the US Cancun #1 Acapulco and Mazatlan are tied for 2nd. Honestly it depends on what you are trying to accomplish for me it was girls and drinking, in panama city anyone can get laid.
I went there in 07 and it was an entire week of getting shitfaced all day with hot girls on the beach. So if your in HS or college and need some kitty id reccomend it.
What really surprised me though was how many people bring their families there...there were a lot of little kids amongst the masses of drunk college kids. Kinda weird
My parents (now just father) have lived in Panama City Beach for 15 years (have been visiting since 85') it has become a major Spring Break hot-spot in recent years, but they actually have a ton of tourism all year long.
The summer is considered their busiest season however, because traditionally it's where everyone from the south (Alabama, Georgia) goes on vacation. (It used to be called the "Redneck Riviera")
Most students arrive in March, and are concentrated on about a 1-2 strip on the eastern edge of PCB, but the actual strip is about 15 miles long, plenty of room for families, AND drunken topless coeds.
I head down with my wife and daughter in late April for about 7-10 days but but mostly all of the students have left by then. Which makes it much easier for a family to get around, and the weather is better.
Daytona one year. Unbeknownst to us, our Spring Break fell during the same time as Bike Week.......
The down side is that biker crowds and college kids don't always mix.
The up side was that biker girls seemed to be very fond of wet t-shirt contests.
Another year, I was broke and just went to Chicago for a few days. It ended up being more fun than you might think. It was surprising how many other people ended up there.
I went to Paris one year for SB, it was cold but awesome!
You MUST go to Key West for spring break. It's a laid back, liberal town where you can do just about anything you want. The food is local and exotic, and most importantly....delicious. I highly recommend the conk fritters. You can walk the streets with a beer and mingle with the locals and other spring breakers alike while enjoying the tropical weather. Best. Vacation. Ever.
