OT- Sportscenter duped
This guy called Captain Janks calls shows and gets Howard Stern's name on air somehow. This goes to show you how bad ESPN's screening is. He called them saying he is Brian Westbrook's agent and that Brian wanted to call in. ESPN wanted to tape his call and air it at 11pm. He said no Brian wants it live because he's afraid they'll edit it. So ESPN says OK and asks for Brian's #. Janks just gives them his own number and ESPN calls him live on air.

It was pretty hilarious, and awesome that he pulled it off. Apparently he hit CNN a while back too.

Wow, ok. I went back 5 pages to check and it was only 2 days old and I didn't see it. Thought it was clear to add then. My bad. But here ya go for anyone who missed it and needs a laugh after the seriousness of the last couple days.

The recent press conference which generated a million "new" board topics with the same words scrabbled into different combinations.
No worries though, its definitely a must see.

Anyone else notice the headline on the ticker when he lets the cat out of the bag?
NCAA says Michigan violated practice time limits.
Even when I am trying to catch a laugh I can't get away from it.

That is just beautiful right there. I also love when people prank call CSPAN.

"Hi, am I on the air? Fuck!"

That is quite the compilation. I can't imagine what a grind it was to sit through hours and hours of C-Span to put that together.

Gotta love Al Michaels coming to the rescue at the end.

Putting O.J. on a live phone-in show . . . wow. Interesting programming decision. Imagine being that lady.

I get a nice chuckle whenever I see one of these. But I don't understand the Howard Stern references. Why? Makes it a little less funny.
February 25th, 2010 at 11:58 PM ^
The references about Howard are due to the fact that Janks is a regular on his show. Ultimately it is all the doing of The King Of All Media!

(I couldn't find this online, but perhaps someone more "sleuthy" can):
Maybe 20 years ago, Sparky Anderson was doing an interview (on CNN, I think) with Dr. Sonya Freidman. Someone called in and began to ask a serious baseball question but sequed immediately into, "so Sparky.....have you ever eaten Sonya's pussy?"
(If I recall) Sparky didn't hear the "pertinent" part of the question but began to answer the baseball portion. Meanwhile, Sonya is having a coronary and trying to move on.
