One of the local newspaper guys knows the truth, but said he refuses to report it.

Let's be real - it steroids and it probably opens a can of worms if admitted to.

But hey, not filling out practice forms and over-stretching is serious....

This is definitely one of those stories that we as a fan base shouldn't joke around about. There is a very good chance this is happening many other places including potentially U of M. My point is just that you never know what athletes are doing and it is silly to approach this as a "Sparty, No!" when it could easily have occurred here.

Am I supposed to be shocked by that claim? Some players were treated in ways that were clearly not legal under NCAA guidelines, we all know that, and we'll never know who or how much. I'm sorry if my comment offended you; I was simply offering up the idea that it happens at every school, including mine, and presumably yours as well.

There are some Michigan fans on 11w boards that post from time to time, including one a few years ago called "rationalmfan" who actually brought quite a bit of useful information to the fray. I started posting here a a while ago (2 years or more maybe) because I wanted to bring some views and information into an arena where it isn't necessarily part of a hivemind situation.

I also, like you said, frequently laugh at reactions. It's easier to find humor in the sometimes insane responses to things created by vocal minorities of a fanbase without it being clouded by the shame that comes with those people rooting for the same team as you.

At least Mandrich was creative.

Garrick Sherman seems to think he and Summers outsmarted the NCAA. But in reality, they still sound pretty stupid for not coming up with something that doesn't require sharing pee-filled condoms.
