Sparty doing what Sparty does best:

Props to "His Dudeness" for letting me know about this -- seriously, he's still alive.

I'm slightly disappointed there was no high-speed snowmobile chase involved.

Maybe they could have eluded the police by skiing off a cliff, only for giant parachutes bearing Dantonio's frowning visage to unfurl from their backpacks.

Here's the quote:

"Brian Linthicum, 23, a junior tight end, was charged with misdemeanor third-degree assault and eluding an officer. Max Bullough, 19, a freshman linebacker, was charged with minor in possession of alcohol and eluding an officer. Both are scheduled to appear April 19 in Pitkin County court."

How the F#$& is this Linthicum guy 23 years old and still a junior in college.

Since it is the offseason, does that mean these violations count in the Fulmer Cup standings?

You can't spell MiScondUct without MSU...

First strikes don't count.  One more offense, and both players will receive a disapproving head shake from Dantonio.  Any more after that, and they will start to tempt the wrath* of the Dantonio Absolutely-zero-tolerance-after-the-first-few-offenses policy.

*For purposes of this policy, "wrath" means "players will be suspended for the entire time they are incarcerated."

Funny how that code of punishment is only reserved for guys who he needs to win him games too.  Spare part players aren't in need of molding and life lessons I guess.

Dantonio's punishment will be forcing them to read, The Winners Manual: For the Game of Life !! by Jim Tressel.

This will be an unpopular post but the Bullough offense is overblown.  How many people who have partied in college can honestly say that they have never had to run when a party was busted by the police.  He was probably at a party that the police were called to and ran when they showed up.

As far as Linthicum, assault is obviously much more serious

Yeah our football team has not been good for a couple of years. But it is hard to talk smack about that when you dont have a team of your own. Basketball team surprised this year after a slow start. Its still a two team basketball conference though, Hope and Calvin. Both in Mens and Womens.

It's not "misconduct" to a Spartan football player, it's "adversity". It's a precious opportunity for Coach Dantonio to help mold, nay, FORGE a young man into a Spartan.

I'm just... *tear* so proud... of our boys... *whimper* for continuing to persevere through such intense persecution. I tell them every day... if you can't commit a misdemeanor, you don't belong on my team.

The wrath of the great diety Hoke is being felt far and wide.  Picking up on a post from yesterday, since his arrival in AA, the cosmos has been restored to its natural order.  Our BBall team - projected to be a cellar dweller - is on the cusp of making the tourney.  We have completed a home and home sweep of Sparty - in BB.  The deal that JT made with the Devil has been cancelled.  Our FB team is being talked about with excitement.  Charles Woodson won a Super Bowl ring.  And, MSU is reverting back to their Sparty, No! form.

For his next trick, Hoke is going to make ND be the "big story" that Yahoo will be breaking over the summer.  It is going to be epic.

that somebody is nosy enough to care about how they paid for spring break and suddenly a conspiracy emerges of drug running and Colorado Cartels and Spartan implosion, followed quickly by death penalty and it's all cuz a kid ran from the cops at a party

Do you think the hijinks of these two young rascals with cause Dantonio to give us one of his patented constipated, burns-when-I-pee, "I just took fourteen lithium pills"  facial expressions?......God, I hope so.

....it is unpopular.  Stupidity on the part of one shouldn't be ok just because lots of people are stupid in the same way.

Some of us are proof that underage drinking isn't simply a way of life.
