*If you don’t see a league or team listed that you want to follow and discuss, let me know and I’ll add it (within reason). I’m not going out of my way to make sure Scunthorpe or Drogheda United are covered here.

Enjoy, cheers, and Go Blue!

As much as it pains me to say this, I do think it's time for Arsene Wenger and Arsenal to part ways. I love Arsene and how he's built the club into an international powerhouse. However, it is clear that the club need some new blood in the coaching department.

Long-time Gunners fan, rapidly losing hope for this season, but suspecting that Wenger will be allowed to stay on for now (if he wishes), just to give him one last match at Wembley in the FA Cup semi-finals on April 23 against Manchester City. There will be no reason for him to stay on after the season ends.

It seems fairly clear that, based on their current form, Champions League 2017-18 will be out of Arsenal’s reach for the first time since the 1997-98 season. It’s likely that Manchester United, playing tomorrow against 19th place Middlesbrough, will pass Arsenal into fifth place and be two points up on the Gunners.  Everton, currently up 1-0 on Hull City, will tie Arsenal at 50 points with a win today, but Arsenal will have two games in hand on Everton.

Unless there’s a total collapse between now and the end of the regular season, Arsenal still should qualify for European competition next season.  We’ve seen how Chelsea (currently leading the EPL by ten points over Tottenham and Manchester City) has benefitted this season by not having to play any games in European competition. Chelsea lost nine of its first 16 EPL mtaches last season, then lost only four of its final 22 matches, but still finished in tenth place.  Arsenal's taking the opposite route this season in playing themselves out of Champions League competition with two wins and six losses in their most-recent EPL and Champions Leagues matches.

With the other FA Cup semifinalists, Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester City, likely to be in the Champions League next season, winning the FA Cup would give Arsenal the automatic spot in the Europa League.  If, as is likely, one of those other clubs wins the FA Cup, then the seventh place finisher in the EPL will get a spot in the third qualifying round of the Europa League for next season. Arsenal has seven points and two games in hand over West Browmich Albion for seventh place.

and the color guy's Scottist accent is so heavy I had to switch to CP/Watford.  Wow, I've never heard that accent to the point where it's a physical strain to understand.

I enjoy watching soccer way more than any other sport on tv. Because there are no commercials (minus halftime). Seriously watching the uofm game was exhausting, with all the commercials. They won the game, but it was almost not worth watching. (OK yes it was), but my point is if uofm isn't playing I don't care because of how long it takes. Watching soccer is just so smooth, even when my teams aren't playing.
