OT: So I was at an event with Urban last night
There was a charity event last night in Columbus that during a pre-party, Urban Meyer showed up. We were unknowingly 15 feet from him for 20 minutes, until he was recognized by a speaker. There was no entourage, nor were people flocking to him after the announcement. He just was like everyone else.
Given the event purpose, I resisted making any Michigan comments to him directly (which my wife strongly insisted I refrain from), but I did give him a good ol' fashioned "Go Blue" glare as we past him on our way out.
I'm curious as to what a Go Blue glare looks like. You should have just pointed at him.
I assume it's pretty close to Blue Steel.
That look is clearly Magnum
Child please... it's obviously Blue Steel.
Walking through the fountain, spinning the cube and even the first time I was safe to step on the M in the Diag. I must've missed the seminar where they taught this. Just because he's the coach of the rival team doesn't mean you should act douchey toward him in public. Hold yourself to a higher standard. This is Michigan.
You sound pretty pompous yourself there.
"This might sound arrogant. If it is, it is."
My favorite michigan joke: ' how do you know someone graduated from the University of Michigna?' - don't worry, they will tell you.
The first time I heard that joke I laughed so hard I spewed beer everywhere; Cause that is me! I walk around school making fun of the spartan teachers, high fiving the wolverine ones, and telling the kids that I graduated from the greatest university known to man!!!
Its great to be a michigan wolverine!!!!
^was that serious post?
I enjoy our reputation and like to play around with it...
Not only are we better than every one else but also we have Hoke now and will never lose in football again...
- I think the father's day beers are flowing straight to my brain.
I presume you are exempting the two losses experienced this season...
Angle AEB and angle CED are vertical angles and are, therefore, congruent.
Wait, you're avatar isn't an SAT question?
I went to Ohio or state. Lol.
Acting civil toward other people who have an interest in a different sports team is pompous now?
Fergodsakes.
Its kinda like Blue Steel but with more "pose".
Edit: Got distracted by the TV and beaten to the punch.
Can't wait to see all the 'cool story bro' pics and gifs.
I hope that you deloused after.
Are we on a first-name basis with this guy?
So you were in a room with a football coach, why is this a topic? It's not even a cool story bro.
"Go Blue motherfucker", would've been the better close.
I want to know how bad his beamer has been vandalized since putting that license plate on it.
I was on a rooftop with 3 former Michigan State Basketball players this weekend. Should I have started a post about it? Please Advice.
(Yep, bringing back the "Please Advice" meme)
You should've challenged them to an old-timey bare knuckle boxing match. Then glared at them so hard.
I'd rather see that than stare hopefully at the MGoBoard waiting for something interesting to happen; longinly waiting for the football season
So I take it that you got away from the cops?
I keed, I keed.
I laugh at even the smallest dose of TICD...
I totally work with this guy that went to Notre Dame like 20 years ago. Cool story.
who didn't go to ND, but it was his favorite school and he talked about them incessantly - he may have been the biggest jerk I've ever known, and quite the kiss-ass to boot.
So I have that going for me...
Why did you refrain? He willingly joined this rivalry and everything with comes with it, Including the many random "Go Blue" chants. Was your wife afraid it would be detrimental to his health or something?
Why are women so opposed to their husbands acting like complete douches in public? I mean, be proud that he feels the need to embarrass you and himself just to make a stupid comment to a guy who he has never even met. Broads are so silly sometimes.
Go Blue is never a stupid comment
I understand where you're coming from, but why are you getting so worked up about this?
Hunger and part general disdain for activities that I feel should be avoided.
Fair enough.
Go Blue is never a "stupid comment".
...you are heckling a stand-up comic at open mic night at the local youth center.
is constantly exasperated by my sports exuberance and general douchiness to fans of rival teams.

Several years ago (2008)I was at Gator's Bar on St. John's pass in St. Pete. I was waiting my turn to get urinal access and everyone was buzzing that Urbs was in the building. I didn't really pay attention and went in to take aleak. I notice the guy beside me is writing something on the wall above his urinal (people sign the walls for some reason) and it was old Urbs himself...pissing right beside of me and signing his name. I shook, zipped and as I passed I gave him a "Go Blue!". He just laughed. We had just beat them in the Gator bowl the year before. Looking back now that is priceless since he is now at Ohio.
That's funny, I assumed he peed sitting down.
Now that is funny. Actually he pulled his skirt up and finished standing up! Gotta give him props for that.
I always pictured him dropping his pants down to his ankles and lifting his shirt up with both hands, like Butters:
How often do you picture Urban urinating?
only five points for this gem is totally MGoInadequate.
I might get negged for this, but it's freaking hilarious.
writing on a bathroom wall above the urinal for? Kind of says something about his personality.
I think he said it was a tradition. Kind of like that restaurant in Toledo that has a wall full of autographed hot dog buns from celebrities who ate there.
Gator Bowl?
I would of said something and introduced myself. He is a human being too, who da funked it. He may have really enjoyed the encounter with UofM fan giving him a little shit, but then talking to him like a real person.
Every CFB coach has a little sleeze and slime to them, but we, UofMers think ours are a little less than the others. That is a delicate duplicity that I come to realize in my years on this earth is something you live with and hope for the best. Meyer has his faults and may prove to be the slimy SEC coach we think he is or could be. He may suprise us though, and may help create a ten year war for our generation that stirs our imagination and fires the rilvary to a better place than has been for years.
