in re: is GRIII on a tear
Dixon goes 3 and out with two runs and a deflected pass almost picked at the line.
...you gotta break out that statue of liberty shit.
his first pass looked BAD. way too soft, extremely low and he followed it with his eyes.
...the coaches obviously don't trust him for shit at this point. They shoulda taken a shot downfield to surprise the Ravens. That being said, that run that was called back reminded me of the only time I cried on the inside after a Michigan football game.
The kid can throw the ball, but he isn't going to have time to do so unless they let him run a little. I know they're crowding the box, but IME, the Ravens haven't got a guy on their team that can run with Dixon.
If he gets injured, I'm not sure who they throw out there as 4th string. Who did they sign this week to back him up?
I get what you mean, but I don't see them winning a divisional game against the Ravens with a 50-carry Mendenhall/Parker game.
...but their season is close to on the line right now at 6-4. They gotta play to Dixon's strengths.
Ray Lewis loves Genesis
but I'm really rooting against them as Dennis "destroyed the Wolverines" Dixon is getting the start.
I will say he has looked better than I expected.
I'm glad they called that a hold on Medwelwe Moore - RayRay was about to destroy Dixon.
i think it's incredible that Dixon has not been picked or sacked even
...that you can write so legibly on your own butt." -Lisa Simpson to Bart
That was the second game I ever saw in person. I said awful, reprehensible things about him that day. 2 college age kids and the old man behind me loved it.
regardless of politics, did anyone else think the commercial with Obama catching the ball in slow motion from drew brees was a little over the top and silly?
What was the commercial for? Most things Obama does are over the top. It's one of the reasons a lot of people hate him so much. Also why a lot of people love him though.
I thought it was over the top for him to go to the Oregon St/GW basketball game and pretend that the Beavers were an actual legit basketball team. But that's just me. ;)
it was for that NFL play 60 thing. a bunch of kids running around on the white house lawn with a few NFL stars and then obama epically catching a ball from Brees and merrily tossing it to a kid on someone else's shoulders.
His brother in law is the head coach for Oregon State. Not sure what is over the top about going to see a family member who is in town coaching his division 1 basketball team. Keep the politics off the board please douchebag.
I love the super-slow motion video they get from high frame rate cameras, but when used for pedestrian footage, it's a little silly. That particular footage was very pedestrian. Most of the NFL commercials featuring the super-slow motion are great, but this one is forced.
On a related note: I wish those high frame rate cameras had been in use in NFL broadcasts when Barry Sanders was running. His moves would look CRAZY in super-slow motion.
He played very well...not a good way to end it though. He shouldn't be discouraged though...not every defense you face can be as easy to slice through as Michigan 2007 when you are a mobile quarterback.
why they didn't call more designed for dennis run plays. The one they did was a 20 yard touchdown.
problem is Dixon ties his shoes so he's not a very mobile threat
you already know the answer.
If Dixon got hurt, which is much more likely when he runs the ball, who would have played QB? Polk dono the plays and Big Benny was spinning.
Not a risk that you can take w/ no backup QB.
