twice the player yea right the dude gets more b/s calls then anyone else in the league. the league nuts its self every time people talk about him. He was just another played when I got to play against him when he was at SSM. Kessel looked and was more talented i feel like cancer set him back a great deal and hes finally fully healthy. He's not anywhere near the player people make him out to be. Look how unimportant he is to that team they play well with or without him. But when he plays they make him carry the team. My buddy who loves him tried to tell me how much better he is than everyone else.. Whats funny is i compared him to Hank while I'm frustrated this season with Z for not skating and playing hard. He's not the only one on the wings taking entire games off.

Hes not by any means twice as good as anyone in the NHL period. He has a great skill seat but he isnt really that elite. He plays almost more than any other foreword in the league and hes a defensive libality in his own end, sure he backchecks hard but hes weak on other teams in his own zone. He's not a complete player and he never will be.

as a die hard wings fan/crosby hater, even i am happy to see him coming back.  he's big for the league man.  we need him back.  we need to have a big year with the nba gone, and us in the spotlight.

So serious concussions are now just a thing of the past and we make fun of those who suffer from them?  And 'classless', really?  Arguments on whether player A is better than player B are one thing but stooping to calling one of the faces of the game gutless/classless/etc. are a bit low imo.

The hits that took out Lindros would merit very long suspensions under the new system, whereas the ones that took out Crosby would barely merit being reviewed. Most people aren't making fun of the fact that he has concussion problems, more that it took so little to bring them on. Most people that soft get weeded out early on (which I suppose is a testament to his talent), but this seems like a strong indicator that his body can't handle the rigors of the modern NHL. I'm sure the same thing would have happened to Gretzky had he played in the modern era, instead of a time where the players were smaller/slower/less athletic, and enforcers could inspire enough fear to keep a star player from taking any heavy contact.

Ya, the first page of the thread was good, but the second got a little out of hand. I may hate Sid the Bitch, but I in know way wanted his career to end with these injuries. Concussions suck. Also, it is way better to beat Pittsburgh with him than without him.

He embarrasses hockey players world wide he's a punk, a sissy and that's why the majorty of his peers and other hockey players don't like him he's not respectable and is a disgrace to the sport. Two of the most valued and respected players are lidstrom and datsyuk both after being polled by current NHL players.
