OT - Shaun White is Un-freakin-believable
I am in awe of Mr. White. No one I have ever seen has his ability to step up his (or her) game when it is all on the line. If anyone didn't see his last run in Xgames Vert, check out the replay, cause it is just amazing.
Of course he appears to tie his shoes, so Denard still ranks...
Seriously bro
Why are we talking about this again?
Who cares.
<br>
He just knocked off the 3-time reigning champ to take gold in the vert. We are talking about it because you chose to respond to my post.
Sweet bruh
I have to agree with the OP on this one. Anyone who belittles or doubts the athleticism in the X Games needs look no further than Shaun White. This guy is simply one of the best athletes I have ever seen. I truly equate his skills to some of the all-time great athletes in any sport. If you are rolling your eyes as you read this, find his run online and watch it in slow mo. Truly incredible.
Totally dude. Cowabunga.
The vast majority of human beings can't perform what the X-Games provide but the Main Stream and Non Main Stream athletic event argument is older than all the old men hanging out at Washtenaw Dairy on weekday mornings combined. Stay wrankle-free, enjoy your sport and/or activity.
I have never understood why someone clicks onto a thread, reads it, and then comments about what a waste it is. The title made it clear that it was OT and that it was about the X-games for anyone who doesn't live under a rock.
There is no practice yet, no games, and no new Ohio violations to post about. Whether you like extreme sports or not, White is a beast at what he does, and I think his accomplishment is thread-worthy. I'm 59 and not even an extreme sports fan, but clicked on this thread just to see what White did now.
If I didn't care about it, I wouldn't have bothered to click onto the thread. How difficult is that?
sick run, but his Double McTwist 1260 at the Vancouver Olympics was way more badass.
Agreed, but IIRC he did that in his first run and this impressed me more because he had to have it, no more time on the clock, and he nailed it.
Plus he hardly even trains on a skateboard, only something like 2 months out of the year leading up to summer X-Games.
Happy that he's getting some respect on my cherished favorite site! Shaun White is freakishly good. That trick was something I'll never understand in all my days on a board. Truly something to behold. GO BLUE!
