I agree that Manning doesn't deserve the negativity directed toward him on this blog because, these allegations aside, the dude is a class act and is genuinely one of the most likeable people in sports. I also agree that his accomplishments are impressive in their own right.

But I disagree that Brady's accomplishments are more of a team effort than Manning's. Throughout the Pats' remarkable run, Brady has been the only constant on that team. Wes Welker, Brady's favorite receiver, didn't join until 2007 and Brady never actually won a Super Bowl with him. The Patriots' offensive line has been in a state of flux this season and hasn't always been impressive, yet Brady is still no. 3 in passing yeards and leads the league in touchdown passes. He has the most playoff game-winning drives in NFL history. Dude is legitimately the GOAT.

I won't deny that. His preformance in the playoffs cannot be questioned. But Brady is the only consistent thing throught his entire run? There literally has been no one else? Not, like, one of the greatest coaches of all time? No? Okay. (I'll stop being a dick now...)

Brady has had the same head coach throughout his career, a quality defense year in and year out, and essentially same offense. Manning has not. That's why I say his accomplishments are more team focused. Where would he be without Belichick?

I also like to point to the year Brady tore his ACL. The Pats still won 11 games (albeit missing the Playoffs) with Matt Cassell, that tells me it's more of the product of the BB system. That tells me Brady is worth 2 or 3 more wins. When Manning went down, the Colts won 2 games. That tells me Manning is worth 9-10 games. It helps when you have a kick-ass coach.

I don't think the pats running off 11 wins the year Brady went down was so much to due with Bill Bellicheck as it was with Randy Moss being their #1 receiver. He papers over a lot of issues - just look at Daunte Culpeppers career. Also keep in mind the year befoe the injury Brady took the Pats to 18-1 and was a fluke catch from 19-0.

And part of the reason why the Pats have a kickass D is because Brady regularly reworks his contracts to free up space for other players......something Manning has NEVER done once. Maybe if he wanted to win more SBs he could have tried not taking up almost ALL of the cap space for his teams.

"Class act" and "likable" aside from the sexual assault case involving a UT trainer, the resulting settlement by UT, and Manning's defamation of the woman in his book, and subsequent settlement, and Manning's continued defamation of the woman, and resulting violation of court order and additional settlement. Yeah, a very likable class act.

The guy is most likely having HGH shipped to his house.  It isn't hate to wonder if he might be using an illegal substance.  Any superstar athlete in this position would have people asking questions.  If anything Manning is getting treated with kid gloves on the issue.

This hate has stemmed WAY before these allegations so don't say it's because of that.

Second of all, I bet you were someone who said the allegations against Brady earlier this year needed more evidence before people said that, "the guy most likely cheated by tampering with game balls." Maybe not, but right after Brady's allegations, the blog collectively said "let's see the evidence first." Double standard is all I'm saying...

Manning is nowhere near Brady in accomplishments....Brady's biggest successes came against the toughest competition which cannot be said of Manning. His playoff record is WAY worse and as is his playoff QB rating and/or relevant stats.

And frankly, how do you distinguish when one accomplishment is a team effort vs individual effort when there are always 11 players on the field and most of the time Brady/Manning aren't on the field at all?

Most MVP's all time? An uncountable number of season and career all-time records? Yeah, those mean absolutely nothing because Brady doesn't have them...

Yes playoffs are a big part of accomplishments, but not the only thing. I refuse to put one above the other. I prefer to say Manning is the greatest regular season QB and Brady is the best post-season QB.

And it's easy to distinguish team vs individual accomplishments. Passing yards, TDs, Completion Percentage, pretty much individual. Wins? Mostly Team effort. No one says "Tom Brady is 12-4 this year." Because football is a TEAM effort. Like you said, 11 players aren't on the field half the time. If that's the case, how can one person get credit for a win if they aren't even on the field most of the time...

Also, I find you lack of faith in Peyton Manning disturbing considering you have "MileHigh" in your user name. As someone who lives in Denver, I am conflicted with you O.o

Yes, I live in Denver and could give two shits about pro football, including the Broncos. I have, for the most part, no common thread with any of those guys and at any given moment they could pack up and leave for a rival team. But, I do have something very important to me in common with the guys who played for Michigan so that's where my loyalty lies.

And sorry, most MVPs is a bullshit argument as is TDs and passing yards when you consider most of those for Manning came against the WORST teams in the league. Anyone can run up the score on the bad teams.....few can win against the best teams. And Brady happens to crush Manning in that category.

Mannings lone SB victory came against Rex Grossman for christsake!! And he had the worst TD/INT ratio of ANY SB winning QB.

Seems pretty likely that Ashley Manning did have HGH sent to her with how the Manning's have responded. Now the only question is why and for what purpose? If it's legitimate then it's sad that the Manning's have to reveal a family health issue just to clear the air. However, if this was the case I think they would've come out and said it right away.

Any MGoDoctors here?  If yes, can you please tell us whether HGH can make your forehead bigger?  Or do 'roids do that?  Which of the two make your sack contents shrivel?

Also, anybody considered the possibility Mrs. Manning slipped Peyton the mickey?  Big bucks end if Peyton retires.  Or maybe she wants his sack contents shriveled up?

This is all very disturbing.

An astronomical amount of players take HGH. The testing for it is a joke, and the substance allows you to reach and sometimes surpass our genetic limit.
