OT: Saturday Sports Betting

Submitted by BeatOSU52 on

Keeping the weekly tradition alive.  Went 3-3 ATS last week so hoping to get back on the winning track.

West Virgina (home) -3 vs Iowa St

Wake Forest (road) +14.5 vs Notre Dame

UMass (road) +31 vs Miss St

South Carolina (road) +23.5 vs Georgia

Michigan St (home) +10 vs Penn St

Arizona +7.5 (road) vs USC

What are yours?

Does anyone have any bets on the Breeders?

Notable spread - Michigan is still currently sitting as 15 point favorites. Over/Under is 41 (wow that seems low!)

I haven't bet on a Michigan game in about 15 years, but may just have to jump on that over tomorrow. I think the insertion of Peters wakes up the offense and we see something like a 31-14/35/10 game.

Well, yeah, it isn't a promising forecast, but then if you live around here anyway like I do, you look at tomorrow's forecast and then you realize you are potentially getting a gift today, albeit a shitty gift. You take what you can get at this time of the year.

Florida (starting Zaire) getting 3 from Mizzou is intriguing. My big bet tomorrow will be on NW -2 at Nebraska, and Clemson -7.5. The Clemson game will get ugly.

I think ND will cover unfortunately. I'd stay away from the isu wv game. No idea on ms st game. I'd take sc to beat the spread. I think Psu covers easily. I'd take USC to cover. Not gonna bet the Breeders although Del Mar race track and Del Mar in general is awesome. If anyone is out there hit up The Poseidon and have one for me. I only bet triple crown. Lastly... Michigan covers I think, I hope.

10 is a big number for MSU/Penn State.  Obviously Penn State is more talented team but coming off that gut punch loss to Ohio State, they may be feeling numb.

This is the type of game MSU hangs around for a long time as the underdog with nothing to lose.

Mork is 10x the coach Franklin is so I think this one is sickeningly close. 24-23 Penn State.

Exactly. Sparty struggling vs Michigan, Indiana, and losing to NW? They're not a good team. Sparty is home but Penn St wins by at least 2 tds.

the West Virginia pick, I am on that one too.

I also have a teaser with Utah -2.5 and over 45 in the Auburn Texas AM game.

I am against you on a couple, USC (I got it at 7) and Notre Dame (-14).

Something seems really fishy with the Cuse @ FSU line, but I thought that a few weeks ago as well with Cuse @ Miami, so no action.

I also teased Clemson to -1.5 with Cal to -1.

And I am thinking of buying the hook to get Kentucky -3 against Ole Miss.

Notre Dame as been really ATS so cant criticize anyone that picks

Random tidbit but I am hearing that there’s a lot of Sharp action right now going in with Virginia Tech as one point dogs verses Miami .

My locks of the week:

Virginia Tech +1 at Miami

Clemson at NC State +7.5

Wake Forest at ND -14.5

Minnesota at Michigan OVER 41

Arizona +7.5 at USC

Northwestern -2 at Nebraska

And I would tease PSU -10 for 6 to 7 points with a few of the above just because Dantonio usually overachieves.

What are your thoughts on betting the game vs parlay? I'm usually a two play parlay kind of guy but I don't know I wonder if I'm better off just laying each bet individually.

I usually run two game parlays and find a few games that I especially feel good about and do a couple three game parlays with them. I have run a couple moneyline parlays, around 10 games, a few times this year and have hit a couple, though this time of year upsets seem to be more common.

This pains me deeply, but why not just bet everything on MSU to cover vs Michigan every year?  I've decided that is my new retirement plan.  That said, I'll bet Dicktonio covers today as well because I hate him and the universe is a cruel place.
