looks good. I didn't realize he was playing with Gaborik, that is awesome.
He's been on a line with Gabby and Richy most of the year.
Carkner beating on Boyle if you missed it:
And then Dubinsky's reaction when he got the third man in penalty and therefore the gate:
via SBNation.
the water cooler slam is so awesome
Carkner because he doesn't play for Detroit. Big surprise. But in my opinion this is way wore than what Weber did.
I 100% agree.....WAY worse.
He's likely to get a $2,600 fine. The NHL is not fooling around anymore. This time they mean business.
Shanny set precedence with the Weber hit. Now apparently all heck will break loose in the playoffs. None of them fear a $2500 fine. That's like 1 days per diem.
It's like a person making 40K a year being fined $13 as a percentage of their money, and the percentage has a less of an impact on them (a multi millionaire losing half his money is still a miliionaire).
Good post - missed this part. Looked like maybe he was more like the 4th or 5th guy in.
Hagelin just got a five minute major for elbowing. Alfie to the quiet room. Swede on Swede.

RT @BComptonNHL: Carl Hagelin will have hearing tomorrow afternoon for hit on Daniel Alfredsson. #NHL
Man, it was not a good hit, but I hope he isn't suspended for it. He got a five minute major for it. I don't think more punishment is necessary. It would be a big blow to the Rangers and give Ottawa a chance to get a leg up in the series.
Chris Neil looks like Hannibal Lector.Good and very physical game.
If you are a hockey fan this NYR -OTT game is tough to beat.
And as I'm typing that the Rangers score. I was really pulling for the Sens so that's tough to see.... the Rangers have a huge advantage with Lundqvist in net.
Bodies are flying all over the place in this game. As physical a game I've seen in a while.
OT could make this game even better.
you got it

this is what makes playoff hockey so great. It's been a great hockey day with the 2 OT Boston - Washington game and now some more sudden-death.
This is a great game. I love the physical nature of the game and refs letting them play for the most part. I have to root for the Rangers because of Carl and Torts. Outside of Babcock, Torts is by far my favorite coach.

6 of 13 games have gone to overtime. Great playoffs so far.

Boston-Washinton was amazing. I think that may have been one of the best games I've seen all year. Both goalies were ridiculous for 5 periods of hockey until Boston gave it up in the second OT.

What makes playoff hockey great is the drama, in paricular, the sudden death overtimes. While my Bruins lost today, that was a great game. I really haven't been disappointed at all by any of the series. I'm glad Ottawa is actually giving the Rangers a game today, and hopefully (yeah I know the Rangers have Hagelin) they can win and make this a series (MOAR Hockey). Looks like the Blues are about to level their series with the Sharks.
EDIT: Nevermind, Rangers game over.

Ottawa wins about a minute into OT. Great win for them.

For the Sens going back to Canada's capital! Ottawa like us has an incredible chance to take control of this series! Awesome playoff first round right now! Blues beat Sharks also 3-0 and now lead the series 2-0.

Damn Flyers lol

This playoff year gets crazier and crazier.
If you would have told me last weekend that Vancouver would be down 2-0, Pittsburgh also down 2-0, and Ottawa even won a game, I probably would have laughed. Parity has come a long way, I guess.

The end of the Sharks-Blues game was awesome. The Blues are tough.

Go Yotes

PP goal. Yotes up 2-1
April 14th, 2012 at 10:44 PM ^
The coyotes are a hard working team.
April 14th, 2012 at 10:49 PM ^
The Yotes and the Flyers are the teams that are really impressing me so far in the playoffs.
April 14th, 2012 at 10:55 PM ^
the playoffs right now. Torres, Maholtra, Klesla, Vermette, Vorachek, Carter, Whitney, Letang, ugh. It's pretty sad.
April 14th, 2012 at 10:50 PM ^
The fights at the end of the Blues-Sharks game were entertaining.

Awesome to see StL whoop some ass after SJ started acting like thugs
April 14th, 2012 at 11:38 PM ^
is a goon for trying to take Smith out of the game. But the Yotes made them pay scoring on 5 min PP and Smith toughed it out and stayed in the game.

April 15th, 2012 at 12:52 AM ^
Time to finish! Gotta win this one!
Hell yeah! Series tied!
3 of the 4 games went to OT today. I'd say this thread is aptly titled.
Stupid hawks. Hate living in Chicago come playoff time ;). Go Wings!
What do you expect living in Chicago or any town that's not your own? I hope they keep bothering ya. Go Hawks
