OT: Saturday NFL Playoffs Open Thread
Guess I'll root for the Bengals since they haven't won a playoff game since 1991. Definitely rooting for the Packers and Charles Woodson!!!!
Do we have any Vikings or Texans? Anyone else?
Tim Jamison on texans, but out for the playoffs with an injury.
Not Michigan-related, but Connor Barwin of the Texans is locally relevant as a U of D Jesuit HS grad.
Jamison, does shontae orr still play?
Go Bengals and Packers.
Bengals D looking good on that first series!
Would not normally be too interested in this game, but in the penultimate month of football I feel compelled to. Some level of depression always comes over me when I know the football season's end is near.
Rooting for the Bengals for some reason. I'm a Dolphins fan and, yea that hasn't gone so well this decade. But over the past few years I've had a soft spot for Cincinnati (wow, I really did not know hot to spell that) and have sort of been rooting for them.
It's the NFL. I honestly don't give a sh*t..
Leon Hall pick 6. Hell yeah!
Bengals up 7-6 and Dalton currently has -16 passing yards.
Ira had an interview with Greg Mattison on WTKA yesterday.
Talks about Ray Lewis retiring and coaching the Ravens.
Johnson has to haul that in, good break for the bengals with only a FG there.
Anyone else agree that that was about thee worst half of football one could watch?! A pick-6 even happened and it was the lamest "touchdown" I've seen in sometime.
It was actually a pretty fucking impressive interception to me
I swear sometimes it's not one's fault for these double posts...
I'll add a prediction into this to make it worthwhile. Houston wins 27-14.
This game sucks and so will the Vikings-Packers game since Joe Webb is going to start now.
Cool story bro
Wow, Joe Webb is starting. Has a QB starting a playoff game after not playing in the regular season ever happened before?
According to the NBC graphic, 3 times.
and led the Bills to victory in the greatest comeback in NFL history.
Minnesota wishes they had a healthy Denard Robinson right now. Nice read option with Denard and Adrian Peterson
Webb is almost as fast, and they're running some (awkward looking) read option too.
At zone read. For some reason, he has trouble reading off unblocked defender.
I was excited to see what Webb would add with his legs, but the early returns in the passing game are not promising at all.
If only Webb had a superman of a running back behind him to help Minnesota move the ball. Oh wait...
Big defensive drive for the Vikings here. If Green Bay goes up 14-3 it's going to be dangerous.
And there is a key sack. Minnesota needs a low-scoring game in the worst way.
Let's be real here. The Vikings aren't winning this game unless their defense plays an amazing game and Peterson plays out of his mind again. Webb is just asking for a pick 6 every time he is about to get sacked. This will probably get ugly. Hopefully tomorrow features a couple good games.
Unless AP can rip off a TD run before halftime this game is over.
If you have a QB as great as Rodgers shouldn't you just go for it on every 4th down
Honestly Denard throws significantly better than Joe Webb. This is a clownshow.
He at least is not worse. In fairness part of Webb's problem is hesitant decisions, which will happen when you haven't played a competitive game all year long.
needs to grow a pair
I have now started thinking about SF. 21 point lead against this qb..
