Some solid games on today
Pitt is up two going into overtime over Syracuse. We're definitely pulling for the upset here.
Miami-NCSt should be a good game at 4.
At 7, Florida should kill Ole Miss and Marshall Henderson will throw a temper tantrum.
Lots of other ranked teams playing before our game tonight.

Some solid games on today
I think you mean 2nd half, not OT
I meant to type halftime, woops. Up 2 going into overtime would be a new one.
Syracuse is 9 of 24 for FGs so far in this game (37.5%), but Pitt is 1 for 9 from three-point land (11.1%), which is a large part of the reason why Pitt, despite shooting 10% better than Syracuse overall, is only up by two.
Pitt pulls down every board but can't put anything back...
Pretty weak foul call on the three point shot.
Looks like burr and another big ten ref in the Syracuse game
There are no conference specific refs IMO. You will see Eddie Hightower in SEC, Big East, and ACC games also.
That's just like, your opinion, man.
I'd love to see Ole Miss lose. Marshall Henderson strikes me as a tool.
He really is the exact opposite of the stereotypical Ole Miss student I picture in my head.
Aj Hammons for Purdue is a real good prospect. Has a pretty refined post game and always seems to establish good inside position.
Does anyone know why there's no preview on the front page? Usually we'd have that by now, especially for a game of this magnitude.
Was wondering that too... But If you need a preview fix go over to umhoops, they have one up.
His computer crashed as he was finishing it, and he hadn't saved.....
A 7 point trip for Purdue. Never seen that before....although it's going to take a few more of those for them to come back from 21 down.
They'll let NW go on a run, now.
Pitt rebounding half their own missed shots.
Edit: They also have 15 turnovers now. You'd think a team that could rebound like that would put a focus on ball security. Just chuck threes and put back the misses.
This is beautiful basketball...
Good for us to have Pitt get a win over Syracuse... Provided they don't have a epic implosion.
Big win for Pitt means Michigan shouldn't drop below five even if they lose tonight plus it puts a little more luster on our win over the Panthers. Hopefully, NC State can beat Miami later.
Pitt over Syracuse, NC State over Miami, and win tonight for us would make for an epic day of basketball.
Nebraska over Ohio St.
Probably (even though I too would love to see it happen)
Unfortunately, nc state is without Lorenzo brown, last I heard. He is their key to uptempo style and his loss was one of the main reasons they lost to UVA. I'll be pretty surprised if nc state manages to pull it off without him.
Work that RPI!
Duke is just wrecking FSU to start the game.
Worst basketball jerseys of all time? They combine a cheap look with an ugly color scheme.
I'm getting Georgetown - St Johns instead of Miami - NCState?! Garbage.
Major bummer. I was looking forward to Miami vs NC State as a great way to pass the time till the Michigan game. Anyone know if there is any overflow channel it is on?
Same here, this is stupid
Haven't seen Miami/NCSU yet but I am currently watching OK State take it to Kansas in Phog Allen, 26-12.
Anyone have a working stream for the Kansas vs. Okie St. game?
"working" stream - firstrow and vipbox aren't working... thanks, go blue.
It's on ESPN3
live overseas, so that doesn't work for me. boo-hoo my life.
working stream for KU vs. OKSt.
Not getting the game, but it looks like Tyler Lewis the MCHOBBIT is having his best game of the season with Lorenzo Brown out today. I don't think he started but he has 14 pts (4-7 from the field), 4 asts, 1 TO. MCHOBBIT.
Anyone know if there's any way we can find out who tonight's officials are? There must be some sort of way to find out. I'm sure TV Teddy begged and pleaded to work tonight's game.
Unless refs are allowed to work two games in one day, we won't be seeing Eddie Hightower as I'm almost positive I saw him working the Purdue/Northwestern game earlier today.
This of course leaves things wide open for Teddy. Oy.
That's good news. You know Teddy V has this game. Plz no Jim Burr!
Almost positive I saw him working the Syracuse/Pitt game. Or maybe it was ND/DePaul.
Either way I saw him working some game today.
NC State looks like it's going to fall at home against Miami.
....and NC State loses to Miami on a last-second tip-in by Reggie Johnson.
The Wolfpack really miss Lorenzo Brown.
The officials in this OK State/Kansas game are trying their hardest to make KU the winner. Some really questionable calls going against the Pokes.
OK St needs to foul on the dribble. Don't let them shoot the 3
They didn't take the cheap way out.
Kansas loses....if Florida were to lose as well.
Are Michigan/IU #1 and #2 next week no matter what?
Duke's number 5, and the pollsters tend to favor them, so if Indiana loses at home probably not. If Michigan loses in a really tight game it could happen.
It's a possibility. It depends on how voters view Duke after losing Kelly. Should they continue to be rewarded for their early season wins or does Michigan get the nod for looking better now. I feel like Duke gets the higher spot. They usually like to drop a team after a loss and sliding to two isn't much of a drop.
In that scenario I'd have to think Duke would be #2, then probably Kansas.
Only way Duke should jump us I'd if we lose by 40 tonight. Duke lost at Miami (#14) by 30 pts a few games ago. Miami has a raucous crowd and all but it's no Assembly Hall (YTAH). Oh, and Indiana is ranked #3.
Somehow I feel our game at 9pm is going to be just the same.
What a buzzer beater! Thankfully it was OK State with the steal and layup. Okie State with the 85-80 victory.
Turnover works as well. UM and Indiana definitely playing for #1 now
Good morning (from East Asia): Does anyone know if Jordan Morgan is playing today? I hope he has. I think if he plays, we have a bigger chance to win (no disrespect for McGray or Horford.. but with JM's size and experience, I think we have a better chance to win).
I don't think so. They haven't announced yet but usually that's bad news. THJ proved that that's not always the case against NW, though.
Any chances of a liveblog for tonight's game?
Achtung: liveblog tonight starting up at 7:30.

Former defensive back Brandon Williams will be stopping by(!); his site has sponsored tonight's electronic mayhem. gbtan.org

(not sure why the tweet is being shown as from 12:03am on Sunday morning ... I don't know a damn thing about Twitter)
but I don't remember seeing if that actually got published to the front page or not. I can't tell you how happy that makes me; maybe now the game thread will be ~750 comments instead of double or triple that.
Apparently 1995 and 2009 never existed.
ESPN just incorrectly stated yet again that Michigan hasn't won in Bloomington since 1986. Isn't there someone at the WWL with access to the Internet and the ability to do a two-second Google search? I guess not.
The Only Colors has a pretty great B1G conference race breakdown from a few days ago. They used predictive models and made W/L spreadsheets. Definitely worth a look.
I just want to watch college gameday and get ready for Michigan to stake their claim that they are the unanimous #1 in the nation!
Is Morgan playing or don't we know yet?
Looks like he's playing
