OT - Runaway Cart at Texas HS Championship Game
Very OT, but I searched and it wasn't posted. The gif is just too good not to throw up on the board. Evidently, an electric cart got loose at the Texas High School 5A football championships. This was the result.

STEEERIKE! (Everyone is ok, so it's funny.)

Here's all the info about it if you want to know more. Included is a longer video, so you can see exactly what happened.
For the record, noone was seriously injured, so it's okay to laugh at!

...that would kill for a cart like that in their receiving corps.

that's for sure.

Flag down, it was an obvious chop block.

I'm Chopblock., and I swear I had nothing to do with it. No one was engaging them up high. But Clipping, my cousin? He's always been the black sheep of the family. You might ask him where he was that evening...

9 days ago, this is the greatest coincidence I have seen in sixever.

This is incredible. Just made my morning! Although I will need to nitpick Mr. Chop for a second. Coaches rarely engage in physical activity, unless of course you are from ohio and your last name is Hayes. These coaches were "engaged" in conversation therefore it is a chop block and a 15 yard personal foul!

He is superb at drive blocking.

In his defense, he didn't start out in the cart. He was standing there and got scooped up into the cart when it hits the first crowd. I actually think that trying to steer was a pretty good reaction.
December 20th, 2011 at 11:00 PM ^
He had to be disoriented. After all, dude was just standing there, and all of a sudden he was riding in a cart. My first reaction wouldn't be "I must stop this cart." My first reaction would be, "wait... when did I get in a cart?"

I'll agree with you guys but I just think it is funny that he appears to try and steer it but then gives up and bails.
December 21st, 2011 at 10:58 AM ^
My guess is that he saw a person running up next to it and bailed then so he wouldn't fly off if it jerked to a stop

Reminds me of the old Madden ambulance

A little profiteering never hurt anyone.
Except... you know, those guys that got hit by the ambulance.

The slowed down ones are my favorites.

its amazing the shit you can find on Youtube, even old video games. Its even more amazing that they did not bring out another ambulance to pick up the dudes run over by the previous ambulance.

Marshawn Lynch's whereabouts on the day in question are still undetermined...
December 20th, 2011 at 10:52 PM ^
Is it still a runaway if it's possessed by an evil spirit? Thing was going the other way in the end zone, turned, straightened itself out, accelerated, and got at least 50 points worth out of that mob at midfield. Spooky.

I wouldn't call that a strike, looks like he left the 10 pin standing!

I even looked up bowling pin numbers and was about to hit post when I saw your comment.
That's the risk you take if you stray to the Brooklyn side.

Also I want to know how long that guy (the guy who eventualy stopped it) was chasing the cart. I mean really how hard is it to yell " watch out behind you, here comes a run away cart."

about the carts ability to be a feature back at the next level. It did show good power in breaking a gang tackle at midfield and then carrying a defender 20 yards down field. However, its lack of a "next gear" is concerning, as it was chased down from behind after breaking into the open field. I say its destined for fullback at the collegiate level.
