He has a few tackles on special teams and he's been trying to play linebacker for a while. I wouldn't be surprised if he'd been getting a couple reps in practice.

Etienne Sabino (starting MLB) is out for a few weeks. That is why this is happening. I had heard/read that frosh Josh Perry was expected to get the nod earlier in the week.
