And it receives a collective shrug from the baseball world at large. Sad that such a naturally talented player(you can say the same about Bonds/Clemens and others) had to soil his legacy by involving himself with PEDs.

No more annoying ESPN coverage of an event stripped of meaning because the accomplishment came from a guy who used PEDs! WOOO!!!

So that is really like his 300th clean HR, right?

I hope Albert Pujols gets this much pub from ESPN whenever he hits his 600th.

This is just depressing more than anything. Watering down what was an amazing accomplishment by adding to the list with PED pumping players. Griffey Jr. is basically the only legitmate 600 HR guy in the last few decades that I can think of off the top of my head. At least everyone thinks he is.

Maybe he is just referencing the Yankess struggles against the Jays? I don't know why any Yankee fan would complain about the team anyway since they have a 99.9% chance of making the playoffs anyway

Disclaimer:  I hate PEDs.

I still think this is quite an accomplishment for an amazing player.  First, what Rodriguez did was NOT illegal at the time he did it (though it should have been; baseball really needs to get into the 21st century in a lot of respects).  Second, its not like Hank Aaron was batting against pitchers who were using PEDs.  The pitchers are much better now than they were decades ago, probably in part becuase of PEDs.  You can't criticize Rodriguez for using PEDs without acknowledging that he probably had to face more difficult pitching for the very same reason.

Congrats Alex, but fuck the Yankees.
