that POS shoulda been fired right away, he's an ass and a bigot. Couldn't happen to a shittier guy. I wish he would get fired by the free press so that Detroit can get rid of him too.
Pretty sure he's been fired. Still works at WDIV.
He wasnt fired. His contract expired and they didnt renew it.
I saw him filling in the other day on nbc. I never watch nbc very often. I wonder if he will keep that job?
Go Blue!
Parker should have been let go for having no talent and no redeeming features long ago. It only took him about a month of being on television to turn from a decent writer who came off as somewhat cool into an arrogant POS who, as they would say in the WWE, "marked out on his own gimmick."
Good riddance. I don't suppose Skip Clueless could be next...
If Obama's dad was a cornball brother?
"Godfather III? Never heard of it."
He should of never brought up that RG3 is engaged to a white chick. That's got no bearing on anything.
Good riddance
I am so upset my Annabelle didn't make the squad, but if she still wants to try out next year, I'll keep supporting her!

just like Valenti and Foster. They've been fired multiple times for their stupidity, yet someone else keeps giving them another job.
It's too bad something like this can't get a guy blackballed like Howard Cosell or Jimmy "The Greek"
.
But when have they ever been fired?

Valenti was employed by every radio station in and around Lansing until they all fired him.
I think Foster got fired by one of the Detroit papers
Or were you talking about Cosell and Jimmy "The Greek?"
.
Or is radio just really crappy job security?
And Foster has been at the News forever. He was the Pistons beat writer during the first championship years. (the Free Press? Drew Sharp). He's bounced around at different assignments, but not fired as far as I can recall. He's had different radio assignments too, but with format changes and GM changes, radio is hardly a long term prospect.

I watched the Flashpoint interview on Channel 4 (referenced in both links) and was sort of in awe of how casually he tried to explain that his comments were simply taken out of context (how is this possible, Rob?) and then how straight-faced he was when he made ESPN out to be complicit (which the producers may have been, but if I am ESPN, throwing my multi-billion dollar operation under the bus won't get your job back). In the process, as the Awful Announcing piece notes, he essentially made "First Take" out to be something of a sham, which again, it is, but the last thing you really should do when suspended is implicitly call out your (now ex-) employer. Way to not learn the lesson, Mr. Parker.

I think the suspension was appropriate for his offense. Firing (or non-renewing) was appropriate for the crappy job he did otherwise.
Eating is murder.
Until they get a monkey to referee, that show is bullshit.

For the record, I'm not a Rob Parker fan. I will say, however, that ESPN is completely at fault for passing this segment and then choosing to punish Parker because of a public outcry. I don't mean to be an anti-establishment kind of person, but it bugs me what ESPN will do for ratings. The Tebow parody is a prime example of a controversial figure that they promote for ratings because they know he will garner people who dislike him and people who like him.
Hedgehogs?! SOOO CUTTEE THIS IS AWESOME AND I THOUGHT THE KITTEN HALFTIME SHOW WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE TO TOP BUT THEY DID IT OMG I'M WATCHING THE ENTIRE PUPPYBOWL!!!!!11!!!!!11
Oh, and the firing Parker stuff is news too I guess
