RIP Monty Hall. One of my favorite game shows when I was a kid at home during the day. I was totally sick, too, I wasn't faking at all.

But is the body in casket #1, #2, or #3?
RIP to the man who inadvertently started many a probability theory discussion.

In case you don't know the secret to the puzzle... ALWAYS change your answer. It's basic probability. Monty made good work of a genius math quirk. Salute!

Does he get winner music as his casket is lowered into the ground, or sad tuba?

I was a hughe fan of "Let's Make A Deal" when I was a kid, and I would usually laugh hysterically when someone got zonked, whether it be with a giant rocking chair or something as bizzare as a rusted out car AND a llama, because those went together.
Between him and Bob Barker, I found myself more than prepared for math most days growing up and I thank them for that.
RIP Monty.

also now known forever thanks to the Monty Hall problem (made famous by Ask Marilyn). The problem:
"Suppose you're on a game show, and you're given the choice of three doors: Behind one door is a car; behind the others, goats. You pick a door, say No. 1, and the host, who knows what's behind the doors, opens another door, say No. 3, which has a goat. He then says to you, "Do you want to pick door No. 2?" Is it to your advantage to switch your choice?"
For those who haven't seen this, it is fun to think about...

Among the funniest episodes of one of the best series of the 70s.

I would always stick with my first choice no matter what!
RIP, Monty.
