OT: RIP Emanuel Steward
I noticed no one created a topic about this and I felt compelled to do so. My GF and I are huge boxing fans and the passing of Mr. Steward broke our hearts. What a classy, unselfish mentor he was and my deepest sympathies go out to his family.
Thank you Emanuel, for all the great work you did, the world is a better place with you having been in it, RIP sir.

but it was determined at the time that it was fake. Maybe he's actually passed away now, but I doubt it.

Here is the ESPN article - (LINK)- Steward passed yesterday actually.
His legacy is fairly well summed up in this list, if you're a boxing fan -
"Mike McCallum, Jimmy Paul, Michael Moorer, Dennis Andries, Milton McCrory, Duane Thomas, Gerald McClellan, Evander Holyfield, Oliver McCall, John David Jackson, Julio Cesar Chavez Sr., Oscar De La Hoya, Naseem Hamed, Jermain Taylor, Chad Dawson, Miguel Cotto, and Cornelius "K9" Bundrage."

Sad day for boxing as a whole. One of the classiest guys in the sport and one of the best trainers bar none. RIP Mr. Steward

He will be missed. HBO boxing comentary will not be the same. He brought a knowledge to the presentation of each match that was unparalleled. There really is no close second to him; Big George Forjman, Tony Atlas, Roy Jr. etc. they are all good but they just could never live up to what he brought to us the fans.
R.I.P. Emanuel
