vincent.  all 7 of our children play, and you can start out with the youngest ones and learn the rules.  then match play the next oldest, and the next, and so on until you wear the crown.   you'll have to journey north to do this, but think of it like a winter training camp.

merry Christmas to you all.

What becomes more and more important to me is the quality and the character of the individuals my (our) beloved alma mater attracts and prepares for the greater world community.

Dear Mr. Smith, it has been a pleasure to follow your post-UofM pursuits, as well as many others, and I know we all enjoy hearing about and supporting your endeavors.

A hope everyone has had a wonderful holiday!  And, of course, Go Blue!

Thanks for all the great football and entertainment. Wish I were close by for the trampolines. And good luck with the chess.

Vincent let me say I've been following UM for 38 years and you and your teammates are my favorite Wolverines of all time.  You guys persevered over adversity the likes of which our teams hadn't faced in a long time and came out on top.  Merry Christmas to you!  If I didn't live in DC I'd be there in Canton.

Mr. Smith,

I'll never play football as good as you, but I would be happy to play a game of chess with you. I'm not too bad but it's been a while. You in?

Many holiday blessings to you and your family!

The king's bishop's pawn (f7) is an early point of attack, because it is only defended by the king. The four-move Scholar's Mate (aka Blitzkrieg) exploits this vulnerability.

So how many people ended up showing up at this thing? Just interested to know what type of crowd this place can put together.

Can we get an appreciation thread for VMFS? He personally responded to like every post on this thread. We all had crazy respect for his toughness on the field but sometimes you gotta respect a guy for just being a great dude. Proud to call you a fellow alum and loved the perseverance you and your teammates showed. Obviously valuable lessons were learned and you're a great asset to this community. Go Blue! Now I'm gonna stop drinking and go to bed!
