I was shocked at how lazy and nonchalant Franzen looked on that break-away earlier. Hopefully something happens on this PP

or are there a pretty good amount of empty seats there tonight? I know it's the beginning of the period now, but I initially noticed that midway through the 1st

Can anyone explain why NBC insists on using jokers like McGuire, Emerick, Olczyk, etc. when there are other options that are so much better? So happy to have Rick Peckham on this game tonight. Boston-Toronto has CBC's simulcast. Night and day difference from the AWFUL combination that they had for the Caps-Rangers game (Emerick, Olczyk, McGuire). Just call the damn game, stop the theatrics (it's a driiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiive!), and the stupid personal interest stories during the game (no one gives a crap that two of the Islanders played for the Penguins last year, let alone that you need to tell us about it 8 times in two games). I don't know why, but the TSN and CBC crews just call the game, while the NBC crews try to make it a show. So annoying. Personally, I hate these "national" crews because they don't know crap about the teams (aside from the basic stuff that anyone knows) and repeat the same stuff game after game after game as if no one watched the previous games. It's such an uneducated broadcast and so annoying for fans that closely follow the teams. That said, Rick Peckham is the clear exception and I wish they would use him more, instead of continuing to put their awful trio on every "important" game. /rant. Sorry... Had to get that off of my chest, and I can't be the only one who this pisses off.

you are simply noticeing the difference between an American broadcast and a Canadian broadcast.

In America everything has to be exciting, in Canada they just call the damn game.  Same thing happens with soccer announcers and its why having Gus Johnson call the next World Cup is the absolute worst decision ever made.

Both teams pouring it on and both Hiller and Howard standing on their heads. Huge chance for the Wings here on the PP

I think we're in trouble. Barely clinging to a 0-0 tie the whole game and being outplayed the whole time. Hopefully Anaheim doesn't blow it open here

bullshit officiating all year long. Great job ruining a great playoff game, fuckwads. Tempted to just stop watching this bullshit league all together.

And there's your game, and your fucking series. How in the fuck does Abdelkader get the boot? After the Shea Weber incident last year...just fuck this shitty league

Playoff hockey, it often only takes one piece of shit ass call to open the floodgates and let everything go to hell.  This is a classic NHL moment, ruining a fantastic game.  I'm sure Bettman will pick up a precious 4-5 more casual west coast fans when the Ducks advance.  This league sucks.

Take your red and white glasses off. It was a good call by the refs. I am pissed like you are being down 2-0 to the ducks. However, it is not the fault of Bettman or the Wings like we Wings fans love to blame for the Wings fault. The Wings are depleted on the blueline and with our more defensive minded forwards.

If you want to point the finger at someone, point it at Ken Holland. The lackluster free agent signings during the preseason and zero moves before the trade line led to this deficit of depth on the bench.

Pretty dumb post by me I see now. Hopefully I don't get sent to Bolivia for that.

But come on. That is the most ridiculous thing I've seen in hockey in a long time.

Someone explain to me why we are upset. Looked like abs left his feet and drove right into his head and shoulder at the same time. I think that's always been a penalty.
