It was a crazy shot and rebound that shouldn't have counted, but I guess that stuff does occassionally happen.  Does seem silly that you can have replays for some goals and not others, all based on the context in which the puck entered the net.

they mention that the front official at the goal line didn't follow the puck, but this call was on the back official. The front referee's assignment is the goal line, crease, goalie and any players in the immediate vicinity, the back referee should have had his eye on the puck and the maybe both/definitely the back linesman should have been keeping an eye out as well.

Oh well, though. These things happen and it's better to be the beneficiary than not.

Don't know if it is something personal or not, but I am a diehard Red Wings fan and I'm finding it rather difficult to get into the team this year. It's just seemed uninspiring thus far.

I watch and follow up on scores and recaps when I miss a game but I'm definitely not as insterested as I used to be. That goes for hockey in general, which is odd considering i grew up on the sport.

Normally, I'd go to 3-4 games a year and on a night like tonight, I'd switch over to the HNIC broadcast but i'm watching Modern Family reruns on USA instead.

Subject is a bit misleading.  That goal tied the game.  But the Wings need some puck luck.  And we were owed one off the net.  Pretty sweet that it bounced off his back and in.  What are the chances?

I'm not sure why the Kings are always the victim to 4 incompetent officals not being able to pay attention to the puck.  See Ryan Clowe incident a few years ago where he reached out from the bench to knock the puck away from Stoll breaking up an odd-man rush.  There are 4 of you...someone should be able to follow what is happening.
