Anyone else watching this game? Crazy last couple minutes. I have to say, Purdue looks tough.

Purdue and Wisconsin still seem to get the benefit of the doubt when it comes to being physical compared to other teams. What exactly have either of those 2 programs accomplished in the last 10 yrs to get that kind of respect?? Besides that I also think Painter has about a 2 yr window to make a run at a Final 4.. Once his junior class is gone he looks to be in trouble. Purdue to me looked like a huge dropoff after the starting 5.

Wisconsin has made the NCAA tournament every year since the 98-99 season, including 1 Final Four appearance in 2000. Under Bo Ryan, Wisconsin has a 173-60 record with two conference regular season championships and two conference tournament championships. Purdue, meanwhile, has made the tournament three straight years since Matt Painter repaired the wreckage left in the wake of Gene Keady's final seasons (obligatory note: lots of correlation between his situation and Rodriguez's). Last year, they won the conference tournament and made it to the Sweet Sixteen. Also, Wisconsin and Purdue play a traditional, Big Ten style of basketball that often leads to low scoring, physical games. The Big Ten's reputation often leads to Big Ten teams who use traditional styles (i.e. MSU, OSU, Wisconsin, Purdue, and others) to get the benefit of the doubt when it comes to physicality. At the same time, they often are more physical than other teams.
