Flogging Molly (Black Friday Rule, Devil's Dance Floor) and Young Dubliners (Rocky Road to Dubline, Follow Me up to Carlow) make regular appearances for me.  Also, "Shot Through the Heart and You're to Blame" is a great way to get psyched.  And over "The Victors" is always the last thing I play before heading out.

"All These Things That I've Done" - The Killers. It really gets me in the zone.

Also, "Undead" by Hollywood Undead really gets the juices flowing, but that one might be a bit explicit for a hype.

Scanning the scene

in the city tonight

You’re looking for blue

to start up a fight

There’s a mental defect

in your brains

But it is nothing new

we know it drives you insane

RUNNING!

Shoelace is

READING!

Defensive ends

RUSHING!

One thousand yards

PASSING!

Armpunt time

HEMING!

way is there

LEAPING!

Bailed us out

I don't necessarily choose to listen to it, but "I Burn" by Toadies seems to come up in my playlist just as I'm wanting to die (usually the 3 minute mark in my run...) and pushes me past the side-ache.

Before games I would listen to a lot of pump up music a few hours or so before the game until about 20 minutes before the coach's speech and then I would switch to something more slow-paced to get me focused. Johnny  Cash, Tchaikovsky, Frank Sinatra, stuff like that. I'm not someone who can go into a game yelling and pounding my chest like a gorilla, I like to be calm and focused.

At the gym its the same thing. I'd rather listen to Mozart than Metallica. Just a focus thing.

Future World Music - Anthem of Courage, Gothic Messiah, Heart of Fury

Brand X Music - Bring the Pain, Extinction, Fearless, Heretic, Painkiller

Celldweller - Wings of Icarus

Two Steps from Hell - Heart of Courage, Protectors of the Earth
