OT: Pryor Speaks Lulz
From arm punts to sentence punts, this guy is the genuine article.
quite surprised this bumbling idiot is capable of putting a sentence together. Luckily for him, they didn't require him to write things out. Let's not be too hard on him. The OP didn't include his apology letter he released after receiving negative feedback from this interview:
Proof read and edited by Drew Sharp.
this is too funny.

(re: dothepose)
Why don't you fucking kill yourself then, Pryor?
Greatest line in MGOBLOG history!
A close No.2 is when Brian wrote "I hate you donkey" in reference to Taylor Lewan.
You may think you are a linebacker, but you are a donkey. Now, let's go for a ride donkey.
...but this blog will only allow me to +1 your awesome comment.
(I guess I can always go back and upvote your older posts...)
First 200-point comment ever?
than anything else. he's going to think the sky is the limit and he's only being restrained by his coach until the kid gloves are removed and he's allowed to screw up. his legend in his own mind is allowed to thrive bc the Sweater protects him from himself in games.
if i could just go back...I'd take state...
Got a cannon
I bet pryor couldn't throw a football over them mountains.
Yeah, well your mom goes to college.
But the coaches are going to have to work with him on that release.
I could be in a hot tub soaking it up with my soulmate
Your just jealous that I've been chattin it up with hot babes online all day
Kip.
Words escape me (I actually sat in front of my computer for a minute, wrote something and erased, twice)...I can't even imagine what his thought process (if there is one) is like for some of the crap that comes out his mouth.
it blew my mind.
you should contact Pryor so he can teach you about research
What a very nice and humble young man.
Why does Tressel let him talk?
he didn't for a while... maybe Tressel got tired of hearing his moronic giberish (sp?) and finally said "To hell with it! If I have to hear this shit so does everyone else"
and it was awsome.
It is getting to the point that OSU might want to think about sneaking in at night and wiring his jaw shut. For his own safety.
They do have that "slush fund" for students expenses. They could call them "braces".

I mean once or twice, ok, give him a pass as a kid. But he really seems to have no clue how big of a dick he is.
didn't he make the academic all conference team or something?... There goes my faith in humanity.
Crap and OSU fans say Robinson can't pass, imagine Pryor without Posey and Sansenbacher to bail him out of those wobbly wobbly throws
Wait...
Pryor knows how to form words into sentences?
I think you missed his award winning research paper on well, research.
http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=219448639934&v=info
do you think was plagairized?
He probably had the smartest student at tOSU write for him.
That can't be real. Is there any way that is real? I would research the authenticity of that paper, but I no longer have any idea what the word research actually means. I am significantly more dumb than I was just minutes ago for having actually read that.
Is such a douche.
He sounds so damn butthurt. Normally I hate making fun of silly things that college kids say, but Pryor deserves a dope slap for this one.
- Openly criticizing other good players in his conference.
- Implicitly criticizing his own team and offense.
- If not 2, then he is basically saying he is afraid of contact - "I could dominate and do better than I am currently, I just don't feel like it."
- Talking about other schools as though he was forced into playing at OSU--"you'd see my full potential at X but I'm here at OSU"--nevermind that he could have played at any school.
- Incredible, breathtaking arrogance on 2 levels: (a) saying that he is currently dominant, and (b) even more incredibly, that he is SO AMAZING that he could play and dominate in any offense and any team.
- Basically calling the people around him worthless - that he makes a team dominant, not the other players, OL, etc...not to mention that he thinks he can make ANY team dominant.
- If he can dominate the nation on any team, why hasn't he done so at the team he is, you know, on?
perhaps.... he is closer to leaving for the NFL than we thought? i know he said he's coming back, but with this kind of attitude, i wouldnt be surprised if tressel goads him out of here, both with his words and having people tell him it's a good idea to go to the NFL.
with his bullshit, or puts up with it as long as they are winning. You can't tell me Tressel doesn't want to run him more. Pretty clear that Pryor is running the show. What sort of coach is OK with his player putting Vick on his eye black during a game? Who would let a player talk to the media when he's as arrogant and gaffe-prone as Pryor? Tressel lets it slide because it's Pryor....or Bauserman.
haha bauserman or whatever. yea.
so if tressel wants to run him more, and pryor wants to run more, why don't they do it?
likely wants to run him more (if not, that's coaching malpractice and Tressel is a pretty good coach so that's probably not the case) but Pryor wants to be an NFL QB and demands to be treated as such. So, Tressel doesn't run him.
Pryor can talk all day about how he could/would run 30 times a game but he is full of shit. Everyone in the world knew about Pat White and his fame, running ability etc - Pryor had a chance to play in RR's offense at a good school and run all day long...he chose not to. Look to his actions when he plays at OSU - he shies away from contact like no other. I've watched him run OOB 2 yards short of the sticks on 3rd down too many times to count. I've watched him run OOB 8 yards early because a safety was bearing down on him many times as well.
i think treseel is good at adapting his offense to the players he has. if he feels he has a power team, he'll run power. if he think his players can spread, he'll spread. the funny part, is that tressel isn't great at any one offense, he is just above average at multiple offenses.
what i'm trying to get at is that you and i both agree tressel is a smart guy. so i'm wondering if this year's style of offense is showing what he really feels about pryor. maybe he doesnt trust pryor to make decisions. he hands the ball off a lot. he is rarely put in positions where he in charge. troy smith, otoh, was trusted to make decisions. in 2006, he just sat back, read defenses, and did what he had to do.
i think that the current osu offense is an illustration on pryor's talents. i'll admit i was one of the guys pulling for him to make the surprise pick of michigan, but in retrospect, it looks to have helped us. not only does he have a terribly media sense, he is lacking in the mental part of the game.
Very good analysis. The truth is, Pryor isn't very good at designed run plays (or not as good as he thinks he is). He's terrible at the option, he hates running inside, tends to cut everything to the outside, etc.. What he is good at, is making something out of a broken play (on designed pass plays). Additionally, he tends to get hurt. To his credit, he has been playing hurt for the better part of the last 2 years (post New Mexico St. last year, post Illinois this year).
Tressel (obviously) knows all this. He also knows he has no legit #2. That's why he runs the offense he does. I suspect most coaches in the same situation would do the same thing.
Ohio State hasn't had a great OLine in a while
but Pryor isn't the one making OSU great. He's above average, but a far cry from dominant or even good.
He has no touch on his passes, If he wins any sort of award they really belong to the guys catching for him... I was more or less commenting on the fact that the oline was included in that group
Yeah, Sanzenbacher doesn't drop anything. I am really hoping that at least one of our receivers develops that kind of consistency going into next year. We have a lot of playmakers, but they are all prone to really damaging drops.
My money would NOT be on Rouondtree. I think the closest thing w have to a sure-handed receiver is Odoms, who, you know, is broken.

The Buckeye OL looked pretty good to me, too, as Larry David might say. Pretty, pretty, pretty good.
of his comment is that he could dominate in a run oriented spread offense, not any offense.
However, I do not have a degree in Gibberish so I could be mistaken.
that it was a really good thing he chose OSU. This ass clown would be a complete embarrassment to the University. I hope Mallett shows this clown how to ball Michigan style!
Hail
Thanks for reminding me that we have to root for Ryan Mallett's team to beat OSU. And I was having such a good day too.
I'm rooting for a 9-9 tie in regulation composed of three safeties and a field goal for both teams, settled in overtime with the first three field goals blocked and the fourth dinking off the lower crossbar for the win. And penalties. Lots and lots of penalties. False starts preferred.
but I actually like Mallett now.
Sure, the story is that he was an arrogant SOB but, when he transferred, he didn't run his mouth other than to say that he no longer felt Michigan was the right place for him. You might feel jilted because he chose to leave, but you can't really blame him for it.
He is the anti-Denard.
Happy face:
Sad face:
Is what I will call him hence forth
I prefer the name 'Bizarro Denard'.
i was just coming to post that
(though hopefully you know it's actually a Superman reference)
That's honestly, one of the funniest things I've read in a long time.
What a self-important jackass.
Wow, what an amazing contrast from the Denard article in the Trib yesterday. Class and humility versus arogance and classlessness. Am I ever glad Pryor passed us up, leaving the door open for Denard.
I mean, it's not like he couldn't have played in this offense. You know you're a shithead when you're jealous of a guy you beat because he gets more newspaper headlines than you.
Those were the guys selected to the All-Big Ten teams by the media and coaches, I think. Pryor is still hurt he wasn't on those teams.
edit: obviously not Newton, duh
everyone shows no class, I mean no class towards me no class towards you....you know what I'm sayin'?
Whatever happened to "Come on Terrell, lead us?" Is he saying he plays with a bunch of underachievers and that's why he didn't win the B10 QB-of-the-Year award? I hope somebody out there is compiling a binder of "Terrelle Pryor Says The Darndest Things" for NFL scouts.
Quotes like this make me SO happy that we have Denard.
So are you saying that your own head coach put a governor on you to prevent you from "dominating the nation" ?.
Please. You chose Ohio State and Tressel to "better" prepare you to play in the NFL.
Remember all those things Charlie Batch told you?
No better than the TP I wipe my ass with.
Wasn't Ter-el Superman's father's name?
This explains his total awesomeness. His parents moved from planet Krypton to Pennsylvania so he would stand out. Likely he was only a 3-star on Krypton.
how stupid he truly is
I think Pryor would have been even more succesful in our offense than Denard this year. He made a stupid mistake picking OSU over Michigan, and maybe he's startig to realize it? Bash him all you want, but I agree with Pryor on this statement. Too bad he didn't have a chance to prove it in a Michigan uniform.
Our offense requires a QB to make quick reads, not stand there for three seconds going "herp derp" then throw a wobbly pass to your first read regardless of whether he's covered... I don't think Pryor even knows what a crashing defensive end means.
The fact that his only heisman hype has come during the last two offseasons should tell you something
I highly doub't he'd be able to master the intricacies of the zone-read, in other words, he has nothing on Denard Robinson.
The intricacies of the zone read? You mean like hand it off to the running back if the defensive end keeps contain, or run it yourself if he crashes down? You're right, that's quantum physics right there.
Do you even watch Ohio State football games? Because your post suggests that you don't.
Don't get me wrong, Denard is a great player, but suggesting that the zone read offense is too complicated for Terrelle Pryor is homerism at its finest.
For everyone else attacking him as a person and calling him selfish, at least include all of the quotes from the article, don't just cherry pick the ones that prove your point. For example:
"We could have done better, but I'm 30-4," Pryor said. "I want nothing else but to win. If I was having a lot of stats and I was losing, I would really be kind of mad. My competitive nature wants just to win, by any means. By any means, win. That's all I really care about, to tell you the truth, man."
Sounds like a kid who isn't committed to his team right there.
Call me a homer, but publicly hinting that you might quit football just because you didn't make the first or second all-B10 teams kind of makes you a tool. I can't wait to see him try his luck in the pros with the attitude problem he has.
So much vitriol.
Chill, folks.
Michigan has its QB and is happy about his talent and his play, so why not ignore Pryor?
The constant criticism makes the fanbase look bitter.
Rise above it.
You're right. I'm pretty sure that he was 100%, not-at-all, completely and utterly not being sarcastic in any way in that tweet. Nobody has ever expressed frustration with sarcasm in the past, so it's incredibly unlikely that he would do so. In fact, I'm surprised that we didn't see a mixed Urban Meyer/Terrelle Pryor goodbye-to-football press conference yesterday.
PS You are either incredibly stupid or incredibly naive.
With Pryor's record of opening his mouth and inserting his foot, especially this year, I think he's already been given the benefit of the doubt as far as media DERP is concerned.
it was an interview.
I'm sorry man, if he chose Michigan I would probably try to make excuses for him too.
I'm glad he doesn't play here.
Of course it was sarcasm, but publicly commenting on the fact that he didn't make the first or second teams just seems bitter, whatever form it takes. His concern with individual accolades is distasteful and makes him look selfish.
His selfishness.
Yes, we are homers and you defending Pryor, telling us he is committed to his team after a quote about dominating the nation in any offense that isn't his own is not homerism at all.
is the fact that the tOSU fans can write all they want and Pryor will still be there. In the meantime, we have Denard. Life is good!
"We could have done better, but I'm 30-4." I'm 30-4? Excuse me? No, the team he is on is 30-4. 13 of those wins come from games where he completed less than 10 attempts. He should be thankful for how much talent he has been surrounded by the past 3 years.
Instead, your quarterback is an arrogant, immature jackass as seen through the comment presented by the OP, his tweet on Herbstreit, and his statement on Wisco, and I quote "Everybody knows that if we play Wisconsin 9 out of 10 times, we'd beat Wisconsin."
Besides not even making any sense structure-wise, the last comment epitomizes the illusional world he lives in. He'll probably be shell-shocked when he isn't listed as the #1 pick on Kiper's draft board.
From the looks of your points total, you seem to be a level-headed Buckeye. However, I think we've reached a point where you have to admit he's becoming ridiculous. I'm sure Ohio State has plenty of respectable players on its roster. (Un)fortunately, Terelle Pryor is not one of them.
While that quote is not quite as bad as the others, it still makes him look like a jackass. First, as mentioned above, saying "I'm 30-4" just reinforces how self-centered he is. Second, his statement that he'd be happy if he were winning but not putting up stats is completely contradicted by the quotes in the OP. His ego is bruised because he's not receiving enough recognition and he feels the need to bitch about how great he'd be in those other offenses, putting down other players and his own offense in the process.
As Michigan fans, we're prone to be over the top when criticizing Ohio State for any reason, but Pryor is, objectively, an assclown.
None of this is to say that he couldn't be very successful in a spread offense. Of course he could. But he needs to grow up and figure out how to talk to the media without giving his immaturity and arrogance free reign.
Everybody murders people
you rang?
That quote doesn't really help your case. He just sounds like he's back pedaling after making a lot of sour grapes comments. If I could be totally objective, which I can't because I'm a Michigan fan, I'd understand why this guy feels slighted. If you're the number one pick out of high school, and you go to one of the most currently successful programs in the country, and you're expected to be a shoe-in for the Heisman and then only make honorable mention in the Big Ten awards, you're obviously going to be pissed. The question is, who do you blame? Your coach or yourself? He blames his coach.
Backhanded blame to his teammates.
Were you trying to make a counterpoint with that quote? Sorry.... but except the one "we" at the beginning, that entire quote smells more of "I" and "me."
"...but I'm 30-4." Right.
And the "we" are only included in the part about how they could have done better. Not in the 30-4 part.
Nobody had to coach Pryor to skip out of bounds to avoid a hit. That's his nature. Denard on the other hand has to be coached to do that after getting rung-up a time or 2. Everyone wants to win. Denard HATES to lose and he will be a champion. But, in the meantime, he never ever pouts or calls out a coach or puts himself before the program. These are things Pryor does and doesnt even know he's doing because he is self-consumed.
Thank God Denard is a Wolverine and Pryor is a Buckeye. Perfect.
There's nothing narcississtic or self-centered in the following quote:
"We could have done better, but I'm 30-4," Pryor said. "I want nothing else but to win. If I was having a lot of stats and I was losing, I would really be kind of mad. My competitive nature wants just to win, by any means. By any means, win. That's all I really care about, to tell you the truth, man."
He has done nothing that would make an NFL team want to draft him as a qb and I don't think he's tough enough (mentally) to change positions. I see a bright future for TP in the CFL.
He is... tall?
Start it at 4:50
Yeah, I forgot that Charlie Batch was such a great pro. This guy is a clown, I seriously hope we beat the hell out of them and Dantonio next year. I want an ass kicking like the Pats gave to the Jets last Monday.
was actually trying to steer him to UM, if I remember correctly.
He might use it once a game. He's much more polished in the "avoid any chance of contact and the run directly out-of-bounds" play. It's quite effective for him, of course that's probably Tressel calling that too.
Perhaps the only play he has perfected more... the "dominate the opponent by confusing them with a ground ball to the flat" pass play. Dominating.
Do you think he realizes he's taking a shot at Tressel and the offensive coaching staff?
Best Berenstain Bears book ever
I had a ton of those things. Ahhh.....those were the days.
THE RACING SPOKES!!! THEY'RE SO COOL!!
Hey Terrelle Pryor, do you like fish sticks?
Does that make me a gay fish?
+1 for south park reference
I'd dominate the nation... I would dominate college football
Really?!... well in that case...
Congratulations, Terrell Pryor:
If my aunt had d dick she would be my uncle!
No she wouldn't.
more wins, been to a couple bowl games and the program would feel at least on more solid footing, and Denard would be redshirted and ready to unleash his smile on the world knowing the offense but I am soooooooooo glad this bozo went to OSU.
back-handed insult, kudos
Pryor is a junior and still hasn't declared for a major. According to tOSU website he's "exploring". What a joke he's on all academic Big Ten.
His NFL career is going to be as awesome as Dwayne Jarrett's. But probably shorter.
I was fairly upset when he didn't sign on to play for us. Now I believe this was a huge win for us.
This from the guy who wanted to be in a pro-style offense.
Also note to Pryor: If you want respect, stop making idiotic statements.
I have no problem with the lack of sports-speak decorum here. It's actually a little refreshing and Barkley-esque, especially since hes closer to being right than he is to being wrong. He would have clearly been better off at Michigan and he knows it (Michigan would have been better off with him too in his freshman and sophomore years). I don't think he'd have gotten Denard-type numbers but he might have come close.
(Michigan would have been better off with him too in his freshman and sophomore years).
I beg to differ. The only real bright spot of the last couple years is the Michigan players refusal to whine, pout, point fingers etc. Having to stomach Pryor's idiocy and selfishness would have made losing unbearable. And trust me, he wouldn't have made an impact on the field either. His me,me, me attitude would have hurt this team.
I don't know about you guys, but since we are all murderers and thieves we shouldn't comment.
Invite him to New York!
The "everyone kills people" related comments were starting to get old. Now we can have fresh comments using some new and exciting TP references.
"I'M 30-4. Not you, not the defense, not Tressel. ME!"
"I'd dominate every sport I tried out for, if only I was given a chance!"
"Those other guys, they can win the awards, but everyone knows(just like everyone murders people) that I'm the best!"
Think of the great laughs we are going to have over this. I'm not sure about the rest of you, but I want more TP comments. Here's to hoping Tressel doesn't put a muzzle on him, ever.
I don't think "every one kills" will ever get old. I just wonder if he's going to kill everyone before or after he dominates the nation. I think it would be a lot easier to dominate the nation after killing everyone, but who know how this man of superior intellect thinks?
One of my most ardent hopes was that Pryor would eventually realize that he made the wrong decision to attend OSU. He isn't saying it that way, but he does know that he fucked up big time. He may be saying he is a Buckeye, wants to come back, etc, but he knows deep down that he would have had a lot better time playing for a spread option team.
This means, no matter what he says or how he postures, that he won't ever be 100% on the same page as his coach. It also means that I will enjoy any consequences his unrest causes OSU.
"There is no question that Rich Rodriguez's offense, for example, would be more apt to suit Terrelle's skills," Reitz said. "But Ohio State sold him on the idea that they would prepare him for the NFL and that they don't run 'zone-read' in the NFL. Jim Tressel is a great coach. But I can tell you there is more to Terrelle Pryor than what we've been seeing."
"We've never had to talk to him about, hey, listen, don't worry about the individual stuff," Buckeyes quarterbacks coach Nick Siciliano said. "Because he's never brought it up. He's never once said, hey coach, I want to win the Heisman, or I want to win this. He said coach, we have to win games."
Oh, so he only makes a selfish idiot of himself in the national media. That's cool.
T. Cryor.
OSU has one of the best Ds and great receivers and kicking games.
T. Cryor just has to put up 12yd ducks and run an occassional 5yd skirt run to the sideline after getting good field position from the D and kicking game.
Newton and Tebow (and Denard) are QBs that can move their teams to a win by force of will.
Everyone is a jackass, is arrogant, and throws their team/coach under the bus
The whole year!
I only run 5 times per game. I had some games without a carry.
Granted these include sacks, but his total was 120 for 12 games, or 10 per game. His low was 3 carries, in the Indiana game (all sacks). So he's close but not quite on that. He had five games with 11 or more carries and 9 games with 7 or more carries.
In contrast, Denard NEVER carried 30 in a game (his highs of 29 and 28 came in the first two games) and usually averaged about 21 per game. His low was 5 carries, in the BGSU game.
Pryor did have three 100-game rushing games on the year. Denard had three games in which he did not run for at least 100.
