OMG whats going on at Michigan? should Harper be fired for her blatant disregard of the law? Should Coleman be fired for allowing this to happen on her watch? Is this an indicator of Michigan's overall disregard for rules of all kinds? link via Michigan Daily.
OT: President Coleman and VP Harper pulled over for speeding
b/c then I'd TOTALLY believe it. You know, Michigan plates in Ohio and all.
...the FREEP gets ahold of this! SCANDALOUS! OMG!
I was hoping to do an "in before tired Free Press joke." Too slow.
Even Coleman can't get a break.
Oh no they didn't!!
They got the ticket on the way to north campus. As a current student in Bursley, I say they should double that fine because they didn't take a fucking blue bus. If they expect students to take blue buses, why the hell aren't they?
Um, cuz they're not students and they don't live in Bursley. Why would they ride the bus? I have a car on campus and if it's easier to drive somewhere, I drive.
As a Bursley/Baits student you can apply for first rights on a parking spot up there. You too can drive a car and park at Baits II.
You should save your outrage for something worse, like if they had gotten out of the ticket because it was Royster and MSC>
Why didn't they just pull a Bill Martin? "Do you know who I am?"
Royster tried the "Do you know who this is next to me bit" according to the Daily. Guess the cop didn't buy it.
Now, that would be badass:
But I think she's probably more of a TT or A4 convertible type.
the compliance office will get nailed with this too.
Later reports will show they were doing 5 over.
I don't care really, I speed all the time. Although I have to shake my head at Harper for trying to duck the ticket. The cop pretty much has to give you a ticket, if word ever got out the police were letting Michigan leadership off we'd have another scandal. Last time I got nailed my ticket was $170 for 85 in a 70, I doubt Harper's ticket is going to break the bank. Suck it up and pay.
like Jersey? If you have one of those and mention the right names, you can get out of a speeding ticket (or at least get a greatly reduced one).
Has anybody else read the comments on the Daily's page? Wtf? Ann Arbor's street signs are illegal?
