OT: Preds at BlackHawks 4/24/10
Great game. Marian Hossa took a stupid 5 minute penalty to put his team down a man in the last minute of regulation when his team was down a goal. This probably resulted from the frustration of missing a wide open net earlier. Can you say Playoff Choke Artist? But get a load of this! The BlackHawks tied it in the final minute despite being shorthanded! Still, Nashville will have a Power Play for the first four minutes of OT.

I'm not sure I get the Hossa choke artist thing. He was pretty big for Pittsburgh and played hurt for Detroit last year. That's a dumb, dangerous penalty to take, but he's doing everything he can to get to the puck. I don't think that's about frustration, except maybe that Hamhuis beat him to the puck.
Hossa is cursed. Every team he plays for loses. Secondly, he is benedict arnold. Hossa stated all through out the season that he was taking a pay cut how he loved the organization and wanted to help win a cup. Yet, when he gets the first chance to a fat contract he skips town. The wings had room under the cap for a similar size contract. Screw him.
Granted he had a decent year with Pittsburgh that one year, but that is the only time he has really done well in the playoffs. Also, was it revealed when he got hurt last year and how serious the injury was?
Well, he came through there.
Hossa's had four extended playoff runs (12,18,20,22 games). Those years he put up 10,16,26 and 15 points, respectively. That's not exactly crushing it, but it's respectable.
He wasn't great in his first three full seasons in Ottawa (14 games, 4 pts) but those teams were full of soft players and he was very young. I think he gets an incomplete for his time in Atlanta.
So, not a great playoff career, but not terrible either.
He got hurt in either round 2 or round 3 (I forget which) and he missed the first couple of months this season recovering from the surgery to fix said injury. He really was hurt.
I can't believe they scored. I hope Nashville gets one on the power play at the start of OT.

Yeah, the last two Nashville goals were largely on Bolland. He needs to get his head in the game on the defensive end.
Yes. Bolland really needs to sharpen up before Game 6. The Preds 4th goal was Bolland just being lazy and chasing the puck. He didn't even have his stick in the right hand to block a pass. Big comeback, though. Sure wouldn't have been fun trying to comeback from 3-2 in Nashville.

When in fact, (at least on this game), during his PM - Chi got a SH goal and he scored the game winner in OT.
Not saying your logic is off (at all), but the results after your post basically say "damn I wish I never posted this thread".

That was an incredible finish! That is the first time that I have ever seen a team score a shorthanded goal to tie the game with the goaltender pulled. When Hossa went to the penalty box, I and probably everyone in the stadium figured it was "game over".

That game is exhibit A why you never stop watching playoff hockey when you think it's over. I left the room to run an errand after that stupid penalty and I get back only to see the Hawks celebrating the winning goal in OT. That SUCKED!!!
