In all of the excitement over UM football so far this year, I got a good reminder of some of the real reasons to be a michigan fan this week. UMdaughter (14months) had a hole in her heart fixed at UofM hospital Mott Children's Center this past week. What used to be a through the ribcage, open-heart surgery, is now an outpatient catherization procedure done at UofM and Detroit Children's Hospitals. Everyone at the hospital was great and our baby is healthy and happy. God bless the people there and go buy an all in for michigan towel, as some of the proceeds go to help fund the new Mott Children's. The leaders and best give us plenty to be proud of on and off of the football field.
