The poster wrote "Lou Holtz 4 Prethident." You're so quick to respond with your own 5-page diatribe, that you completely missed the point. It's ironic considering your avatar is Charlie Kelley, a character in a show that brilliantly understands the difference between dark humor and pre-school humor. "Sunny" is about as un-PC as it gets, and I love it, because it's witty, original and risque. You idolize a show you don't even understand.
If you think "Lou Holtz 4 Prethident" is somehow funny, then you sir, are the 1 in a hundred, not me. Seriously, next time Holtz is on TV, say that line to the room. See how many laughs you get.
You also falsify past posts to justify your little fake strawman argument playing out here. This destroys any credibility you might have. When I write postgame on Saturday, in essense, thank you to bourbon for allowing me to forget the Akron game, you fabricate it into some notion that a joke was made about binge drinking. That's just flat out dishonesty, which is the worst character flaw of all.
I agree ... the post was not malicious. It was lazy. It lacked creativity, as Holtz lisp jokes are 20 years old. The post insulted for the sake of nothing but the insult. It's what they do on 11W and RCMB. They write, "Hoke is fat." They write, "Denard throws like a girl." They write this crap over and over. These people watch Beevis and Butthead reruns, I swear. You want to be around those people? Have at it!
Keep convincing yourself this is about being PC or not PC. That's a strawman argument with yourself that you will win everytime. Just answer me this -- the Michigan senior who grew up with a speech impediment -- would you say he should run 4 prethident to his face? In a million years you wouldn't, internet tough guy. Just hide behind your keyboard, and keep searching for the backbone that isn't there.

In light of your posts on this thread, I think everyone, including me, now knows a little something about you.
Thanks for acknowledging my point that an insult for the sake of the insult is valid. Thanks for acknowleging Q-Wash's struggle. It looks like the lesson sank in for a grand total of 90 minutes before you reverted to your preschool days and made another Lou Holtz lisp joke in this thread.
If writing that "Lou Holtz 4 prethident" is a unoriginal, uncreative and lazy insult, then yes, I am a pretentious asshat. I'll wear that title with pride. If pwning your faux-anti-PC justification for making RCMBesque-internet-insults makes me spineless bully, then yes, I am a spineless bully.
I guess I failed in my response in one respect. I wasn't trying to be passive aggressive ... I was trying to be just plain aggressive, which, makes me the internet tough guy. Because, when you think about it, what screams internet tough guy more than a person who calls out people who mindlessly ridicule those with birth defects?

As long as he didn't get behind the wheel, this post is nonsensical. Cut the anti-PC crap. Not making fun of people who are born with conditions isn't being overly sensitive -- it's being a decent human being.

what he was yelling.....fans are fickle and want their head coach fired - fans who have no idea what is actually going on with the team - Lou is defending the coach and does not like it when the media (which is probably feeding the coach hate for ratings) gets involved. I agree with Lou on this one. I think- or else he was yelling something about his childhood

be hard to argue, given the performance of Texas the last 4-5 years that Mack Brown is not underachieving with the talent he has. If turning to Greg Robinson isn't the end of the line for Mack Brown I don't know what is. A coach can't rest on his past accomplishments forever, which is what Lou doesn't seem to comprehend. Sometimes the game just passes a coach by. It would be same thing as keeping an employee around at any other job based on past achievement, despite them them not contributing anything in 5 years.
I do think the last part of that (knocking the podium over) is clearly an act though. I think Lou is 50% act and 50% genuinely crazy most of the time.

I find him to be entertaining. It's obvious to me that he always picks ND higher than they should be because he's a domer, and he knows it pisses people off. He doesn't care, he's a god in South Bend, why not have fun with it? A speech impediment doesn't make someone an idiot.

Mark May must really know how to push his buttons because Holtz just lost it when May said he was out of order. Holtz yells "I'm sick of everybody jumping on coach". I guess he's earned the right to just go by the nickname coach, but who talks about themselves in the third person like that?

'Tis all entertainment, sports entertainment.
I would love it if Holtz was legitimately flipping out though. Just not a fan of his...

Sorry, but I have no clue why ESPN has him as a commentator.

How can a man have a job with ESPN and get paid for picking ND every Saturday to win no matter who the opponent is???
Either Holtz is a genius or ESPN doesn't do background checks on they're employees :-)
