I randomly looked up the facebook profiles of this Mascot Books company and their CEO cited in the article, and he's a Virginia Tech alum. This has to be his way of getting back at us for the Coale non-catch. Conspiracy!

this is Meechigan "ferGodsakes."  we do not need a fucking grad student walking around in a costume that will probably look like a fucking bear.  nor do we need to bribe little kids to become Meechigan fans by having a cuddly wolverine.

wolverines are not dosile or cuddly.  indians have referred to them as devil bears, a single wolverine can take down a fucking moose and a couple can drive off an entire pack of wolves from a fresh kill.  they are mean and non-sociable.

These do not reflect the unique culture and spirit of Michigan. I doubt Michigan can be adequately expressed in mascot form, except for Emmy the Block M.

It has the head of the Wolverine foam head hat with a Wolverine jersey and kind of Hulk style ripped maize pants. I named the character Victor. Hate away if you want. I don't like mascots either for Michigan but I thought this on looked pretty cool. I made the eyes white with a glaring look to them.

Does anyone remember back when our cheerleaders would steal the other team's mascot and carry it to the goal post, spread it's legs and bash it into the pole? When I was a kid I thought that was hilarious and remember thinking "and they can't do that to us because we don't have a mascot!" Bring that tradition back in lieu of a mascot.

When I was a kid I thought that was hilarious and remember thinking "and they can't do that to us because we don't have a mascot!"

The dynamic usually was the opposing mascot would "sneak" over to our side of the field and kidnap one of our cheerleaders. Then the rest of the cheer squad would rescue the cheerleader, seize the mascot and hilarious groin into the goal post would ensue. I miss that tradition too. Afraid it's gone for good. The internet has ruined civility between fanbases to the point that nobody is willing to ever take any kind of friendly jibe from a rival anymore.

My daughter is 9 months old and she will love the University of Michigan not because they have some cheap mascot but because her mother and father will take her games and show her the beauty that is the town of Ann Arbor and the jewel that is the Michigan campus.  Mascots are fucking stupid.

So we can't decide what uniforms to put our players in week in and week out, and again with the mascot talk? When did Michigan develop an identity crisis, fergodsakes?

...but i can understand why a mascot would nice to have. Everyone says that kids will love Michigan even without a mascot. Though true, I can see a mascot being one of those quick fun moments for kids to have at a game.

If Michigan were to ever have a mascot, im sure Michigan would take everyone's thoughts into account as to what it would look like.

Though i personally dont think we need a mascot any time soon, im sure we will someday ease into it.

While Lloyd Brady and Facepalm guy may not be at all games, they are better than any mascot ever. My parents were fortunate enough to sit behind lloyd brady at the game. Trying to upload a picture, but I'm lost on this site as I'm a noob. Wil be up when I figure it out, but for now I made it my profile picture on here. Maybe the last we see of Lloyd for awhile.

I thought we discussed this already and we decided that we were NOT going to pursue a mascot.  How can any relationship grow when we cant get through the past.  We need to move on and focus on the future.

Wait a minute, this sounds eerily similar to the last discussion I had with my wife.
