OT - Places to Watch Michigan Football in Singapore
Yeah yeah yeah I know a lot of people hate these threads - but I wanted to get it out of the way during the off-season to not interrupt anyone's gameday later on.
I am currently relocating to Singapore for work and obviously being able to watch the Wolverines on Saturday (or potentially Sunday with the time difference!) is non-negotiable.
I know the board attracts people with shared interests in Michigan from all over the world, so I figured I would check if anyone had experience watching games while traveling/visiting Singapore.
Also, if anyone is currently living over there, I'd be up to arrange watching parties or meet-ups for sure.
Feel free to delete if there is a lack of response.
do they even know what the state of Michigan is in singapore? my best guess is online either espn3 or btn online.
Lots and lots of Expats over there so I figured they might have some option available to cater to the USA nationals
I've had a couple of meals at the American Club there... There is a bar/restaurant called the Union Bar in the American Club (I think) that will remind you of any US sports bar. Every college flag that I could think of was hanging there, so it's pretty college sports oriented. I'm not sure what the hours are there though, so I don't know if you will be able to watch games live. There are a number of Michigan alum and other Ex Pats there too, so I'm sure there are other places.
Singapore Shemales club is an excellent place to watch play games.
Walking distance from the financial district.
Here's a link from last year...

London Bar.
Love the food. Too cheap to get the chili crab, but heard it is awesome in Singapore. Would hit up Din Tae Fung for soup dumplings while there
Watch it at Santosh's house. He has a nice place, Nina lives across the street. I've heard his mom is a good cook.
I'm heading over to Singapore for vacation Sept 28-Oct 12... so I'd love to get in on any game watching party for Rutgers.
Shoot me an email at [email protected] and we can figure something out! I'm looking into a Slingbox / Chromecast combo. Although, knowing the cost of living over there, it's looking like I might have to get used to a "cozy" apartment.
Enjoy the 3:30 am kickoffs.
There is a channel on Mio (one of the local cable providers) called ASN (American Sports Network). You should be able to catch some Michigan football and basketball games on it.
You can also use online workarounds like slingbox, your Michigan VPN (all Michigan alumni are entitled to one)
@blingblaine... I hate you...
