OT: pet peeves...

Submitted by GOBLUE4EVR on
ok all what are your biggest pet peeves caused by your wife/girlfriend/boyfriend(for the females that post here)??? the two that drive me craziest are: 1. my wife is messy person and one of the things that i have to do since i'm unemployed is keep the house clean... as soon as she walks in the door the whole house is messy again... and then she wonders why we argue when i tell her that i'm not going to clean up after her. 2. my wife loves to call me to talk about nothing... it drives me crazy... i live by the whole "please have a reason when calling, or don't call at all"...

1) Watching the University of Michigan lose in any sporting event. I firmly believe that we should not ever lose. 2) Any idiot wearing OSU gear. 3) Opening up my refrigerator and not finding a bottle of Franks Red Hot. 4) People who refuse to do anything to better their lives.

I hate when one of my housemates repeats all the funny lines in TV shows/movies right after they happen. He does it under his breath as if he wants to make sure everyone heard it, or it just was so funny to him that he thought it should be said again. I almost have to leave the room every time he sits down to watch something.

I probably annoy the hell out of people when I do it too, but I can't help it. Hell, what's worse is that if I know a movie well, I'll finish the line before it even happens in the movie. The first step towards recovery is admitting you have a problem, and I have a problem with this. BUT, I think there is something even more annoying than this, and that is people who constantly ask questions about what's going on in the movie, instead of actually watching and paying attention. Drives me fucking insane, but I guess that's just what I get.

I have a roommate who will attempt to ask me questions about a show I'm watching; "Oh hey, Scrubs is still on the air? I didn't know that, is everything different?" - In order, Yes, I hate you, and I only watch because I suspect that one girl is the hot Aussie from the first Transformers "What are you watching on the DVR? House? Do you like it? What episode? Is it on again? I have a friend who refuses to watch anymore, he was just like 'no more'" - House, yes, House, Obviously I like it because I DVR'd it and am watching it, The new one, yes, GOOD FOR HIM NOW LEAVE ME ALONE. I have a lot of built up anger about this.

I hate when people chew their food/gum like god damn cows. It pisses me off to no end. I mean, seriously, how hard is it to close your damn mouth? EDIT: Shit, this thread just went over my head.

people chose to hijack this entry to make it about pet peeves in general. To stay on topic, my wife is an elementary schools teacher. She talks loud and she'll often talk to me like I'm 10 years old (on second thought, that could be because she knows me.)

My personal goal in life is to be married on the 50 yard line of Michigan Stadium during halftime in the tOSU game. The band can play Here Comes the Bride, she comes out, quick sermon, we kiss, the student section cheers, the Band plays "Hail to the Victors" and we run off the field to it. Long story short, I'm never getting married with that attitude. Also if anyone objects the student section can chant "asshole" or "bullshit". I see no downside to this plan.

I too am in the unemployed category and going to grad school. My fiancee, a CPA who is working like crazy during busy season, thus thinks it is my responsibility to cook, clean, launder, and serve. Yesterday I did all the laundry, dishes, dry cleaning, and grocery shopping and still received no credit. I may be the best housewife ever and am yet so unappreciated. ...and she is anOSU fan. Dammit.

People who get married on Saturdays in the fall DO NOT want you as their friends. They're just being passive aggressive about it. I got married on April 29...after everyone's spring game. The only thing anyone had to miss was some early season baseball. Plus, it's an easy date for me to remember as the Grateful Dead played their final show at the Fillmore East in 1971 on that date.

General complacency and faux self-deprecation in order to attain the appearance of humbleness rather than actually being truly humble are my two biggest pet peeves in anyone, male or female.
