I've got Bradley on points. Who do you got?

I dead seriously think Floyd paid off the judges so that he could say Manny isn't worth his time. This is such a joke. Boxing is a farce.

I seriously would not want to be Bradley if there is a rematch....I think pacman might literally kill this guy...that was bullshit.

I'm watching the British feed, and they have a FAR different perception of the fight than the HBO guys. It was much closer to them than what the HBO guys were saying. Some of them gave the first two rounds to Bradley.

Pac got robbed, but he gave away the entire second half of the fight, and basically shut it down after the 7th round. So if a dumb judge gives one or two of the early rounds the Bradley, then he's gonna win the fight. If this shows anything, you can't give away rounds.

It's like Dana White always says, "Don't let it get into the hands of the f*cking judges!"

Pac got robbed though, and that's the bottom line.

In other news, I can hear Floyd's maniacal laughter all the way from his prison cell.

I had the HBO PPV on my TV, but after 5 rounds of blatantly slurping Pac, I turned off the sound and put the British feed on my computer so that I could listen to those guys commentate. Most of them had Bradley winning the entire second half of the fight due to counter punching.

Pretty much all of them scored it as a close win for Pac, but said they could see how Bradley would win a split decision if a round or two was flipped.

They're saying  based on this decision that it's a shame JMM didn't win his fight with Pac, because they all thought he won, and especially in light of this decision. There needs to be an immediate rematch.

They're also all in tears over Pac-Mayweather being dead.

I think Pac was robbed, but they think it was a closer fight than I did, and I thought it was closer than the HBO guys were making it out to be. It wasn't a totally lopsided dominating performance where Pac won 10 or 11 out of the 12 rounds, but I thought he took a solid 8.

I agree with you.  This is so frustrating.  I have watched a ton of boxing in my life and usually I am pretty accurate on the winner.  I thought Pac-Man's last fight could have gone either way, i thought this one was a no brainer, I am not sure how I could have been so wrong.

I just rewatched rounds 11 and 12 and I guess you could maybe give him those, but still that is only 4 rounds and I think it is a reach to give him those.

I really don't think it was even that close. Bradley seemed to struggle with landing shots that had an effect on Manny. Manny landed more power punches, more punches, had a higher percentage of punches landed, but also his punches seemed to have way more effect on Bradley than the punches he took.

Only explanation, outside of corruption, I could see is that Bradley fought hard and with heart for 3 full minutes and 12 full rounds. PacMan played games and only went hard for 1/3 of each round. Bradley is an excellent competitor. Still I think PacMan won that one. Rematch has potential to quite interesting.

I've read a lot of posts on here about Manny "avoiding" Floyd. You guys can't be serious or you obviously don't follow boxing. If anything it's been the exact opposite with Floyd's camp constantly coming up with something to not make it happen.

fight until they've exhausted every last ounce of media attention. for casual fans that's the only topic worth discussing. the sport is on life support and i don't see it getting any better. i won't be surprised if ten years from now boxing turns into an obscure underground sport only shown on espn 8 the ocho. quite sad really.

Well, all Pac has to do is take the tests and call Mayweather's bluff. Shane did it. Cotto did it too.

Pac has used every excuse in the book as to why he won't take the tests, from a Rafael Palmeiro-esque "I have never, nor will I ever use steroids," to "Hey, trust me guy!" , to "Boxing standards are fine bro, relax," to "I'm suing you for libel!", to "It's waaaaay to much blood man," to "I'm terrified of needles!"

It's ridiculous at this point.

If any baseball player used as many excuses as Pac has as to why he refuses to be subjected to more stringent tests by MLB for steriods, everyone would be on him, calling him a juice head. Since it's the golden boy, Manny Pacquiao, getting pushed around by mean ol' Floyd Weather, Money is considered the douche.

EDIT: That being said, I don't blame Pac because the money split is ridiculous, but it doesn't look quite as ridiculous now. Most casual fans aren't tuning into the fight to watch Pac. They're tuning into the fight to see if somebody can finally beat Floyd Mayweather. Floyd is right on that count.

Tomorrow I think I'll watch the whole fight over again with no sound, but I still can't see my opinion changing much. I mean the announcers were calling it for Bradley early in round 1 when he was in control and in round 10 which he also won.

and very knowledgeable, in fact Sandy, my GF could easily be a boxing judge, trust me when I say that that was the biggest bunch of bullshit! Also, I used to box, this was a joke!

We both had Manny winning 11 rounds to 1, 119-109 was what that score should've been, shameful fucking corrupt and makes me sick to my stomach! He fucking out-punched him by close to a 100 punches and they were way more impactful, SMH!

I am in shock right now. I thought pacquiao lost his last fight but this wasnt very close. I have a hard time believing that this wasn't fixed. I don't know what to say. It seems like they may be forcing pacquiao vs mayweather to try and keep boxing alive.

Is a FUCKING IDIOT! Bradley didn't hit PAC more then 5 times the whole fight. I'm in total shock! I personally had it
117-111

But what the hell did those judges see!

UofM626

June 10th, 2012 at 12:41 PM ^

Bradley maybe only hit him 5 clean times all fight, get your head out. Bradley tried to fight and looked very much put classed, granted he tried but damn that decision is one of the worst I've ever seen. This fight wasn't even close. Aram had this set up. Did u see him in the ring after w Bradley? Come on

bluestan

I think that the judges did not want to think that they had fixed things for Manny after the previous controversy, so they decided if the match was close, they go against Manny. It wasn't really all that close though.

People there is video to prove anything these days. Bob recently admitted he's had a 50/50 contract for 3 years they didn't want. As soon as Floyd says something is off the table that is what Bob wants. So it can look like he's trying. In truth he wants to collect from both sides. But let's go back Dec 2009, both sides agree to terms then Pac backs out with a fear of needles, Roach says they need 3 days for Manny to feel right, Floyd agrees to that and team Pac backs out wanting 7, Floyd agrees and teamPac backs out needing 30 days. Floyd agreed to the fight 3 times and Pac changed his needs 3 times. You don't agree to a fight as a means to duck. Jan 2010 Bob pulls out of negotiations, Floyd says we do it now or I'll never offer a cutoff date again. This is going to be too long so I'll skip to this year Jan 2012 "Mannys cut won't allow him to fight May 5th" upon hearing Floyd is going to jail Bob says "Manny may take that date" upon hearing Floyd pushed back his turn in date until June 1st "well this fight is too big, we need a temporary stadium that will be finished late May" If people still buy Bobs tricks I pitty them, BTW where is the stadium Bob?haha If you need any proof Bob set this sham decision up for the rematch, watch the post fight presser where they are already advertising the rematch, date, venue and all. He is old but he's still the Bobfather

Not sure why anyone is really surprised....if anything ole bob now has people talking about bradley/pac 2 instead of any kind of bout with Floyd.

Khan sure as hell isn't going to fight floyd either. Hell the only reason Cotto fought him is because he got out of top rank.

The only fight which would be fun to watch down the line is a floyd/canelo fight. Those 2 will be avoided by Arum like the plague. Arum will continue to keep his guys fighting in house and unless he passes very quickly some of these big fights will never happen.

I can honestly see how someone would score the fight for Bradley.

I thought Pac won, and was robbed, but a case could be made that Bradley stole 1 of the first 2 rounds, round 5, and took 5 of the last 6.

Pac coasted the entire second half of the fight and let Bradley get back into it. Re-watch it, and mute the volume. IDK what happened but he started coasting,  not doing much and trying to steal every round with a flurry at the end. Bradley established his jab late, and did a nice job of effectively counter punching Pac.

It's Pac's own fault he lost. Yes, he was robbed, but you don't have any control over the judges. You only have control over what you do, and IMO, Pac gave away quite a few rounds late. Any one of which, would have saved him.

PacMan clearly won the fight. Yes Pacman coasted the first 2 minutes of almost every rd in the second half of the fight but he landed way more punches and he clearly hits harder than Bradley. He even had Bradley hurt a few times. Listen this is a BOB ARUM FIX!!!! This is Arum's way of keeping 2 of his fighters in the spotlight while preventing a Mayweather-pac man fight. If Bob cant have his hands in both fighters pockets then he wont let his fighters fight.

This is the worst decision I have seen in boxing.  It looks more like the WWE than boxing, with the exception that nobody expects anyone to believe the WWE is authentic competition.
