Is anyone else watching?
As a Packers fan, I'm not too thrilled with our offense's performance so far, but I have to ask: how many interceptions before the Bears want Sexy Rexy back?
cutler is having a hooooooooorible game.
As a Bears fan, I can say-
as a lions fan I would love it if the Packers lost - but I don't think that is gonna happen
Chicago would be in a better position if the Sex Cannon was QBing this game - not a good debut for Cutler - but amazingly as bad as he has been his team is only down a score.
Well, a TD with a 2-pt. conversion, but still. And in Cutler's defense, his receivers are not helping either. They have a serious case of the dropsies (as has Donald Driver, FWIW).
Green Bay's offense really needs to step it up, the defense has carried the game for us thus far.
Packers fan here.
Agreed that our offense has been very 'meh' so far. Rodgers has been off with the deep ball and the OL has been pretty terrible.
On the other hand, aside from that bomb on Woodson the defense has played well enough given how godawful Cutler has been.
Woodson definitely isn't as fast as he used to be ... but he's been getting in Cutler's face otherwise, so I'm not going to get on his case.
Certainly, and I'm not getting down on him. Using his name was more of a point of reference than an indictment of his play.
Speaking of Woodson, now would be a great time for him to come up with a pick.
As a Broncos fan, I sure hope the Bears eventually regret giving up 2 1st Rounders
Hester is a burner - top end speed
Terrible coverage by the Pack - can't let Hester get behind you.
As a side note, between all the wonderful tears of ND and Sparty fans and then a side of NFL football, I haven't gotten anything done today. Stats plus today = academic fail.
It's a wonder I didn't flunk all my classes during football season.
It's so nice being out of school. =]
I decided to hide from the economy and go to grad school. Of course, it had to happen righttt when we rebound. Damn.
It's a problem I'll take of course.
Better than me. I decided to do a two year master's degree program, starting in fall 2007. I graduated in July of this year. It's been awesome being unemployed, let me tell you.
Considering my masters program is also two years, I am now going to go hide in a bathtub and hope that life doesn't come and get me.
Actually, that might be what a certain escaped Sea World whale is doing in South Bend right now.
In that case, I guess you do have a case of blue :(
Sorry about the job thing, hope you find something, and I mean that in all sincerity.
Thank you, though. Hopefully things will turn around soon. I'm telling myself that this is going to be the week someone calls me for an interview.
Speaking of fail: Packers offensive line, anyone?
He's adding awesome insight.
I don't care how much you may like other color guys, but info like Rodgers calling out assignments, blitz pick ups....
This is what analysis should be, not "Teams that turn the ball over less tend to win games."
You sound like a 14-18 year old girl.
The 14 year old girls you know talk about offensive line assignments and blitz pickups?
What can I say, I drive around in a white van trying to pick up 15 year old Catholic school girls that are straight up ugly. They know them some football.
The "hang $100 bills out of my pockets" is my go to as well...but it only works at Studio.
because 14-18 year old girls love Collinsworth
So it's not a waste:
I can't believe that was negged. Someone has no sense of humor.
Also, I'm from Milwaukee, and you could totally sub in MKE for Cleveland in these videos and it still would work.
for the video ragging on the tools that are flock to Cleveland's W. 6th St.
Count me as one of the 4,789,012 Bears fans that want Lovie out.
That was even worse than Weis.
that fake punt call was atrocious - easy drive for the pack to take the lead.
If the Bears miss the playoffs, I think that Lovie will get canned for sure.
Not that our offense did anything impressive with it. I know it's the first game of the year, but what a disaster.
Illegal contact? I mean... rules are rules I guess, but damn that's a shame to give up a first down on that penalty.
Not that I want to continue my anti-NFL rant that stinkbombed the board a few hours ago, but apparently the Packers got hit for a free first down because a DB touched a receiver 6 yards beyond the line of scrimmage. (The NFL rule is 5 yards.) Are we playing flag football?
Doesn't "illegal contact" sound like a line from a Bud Light commercial about fouls while picking up chicks at a bar? "Oooh, he goes for the hand around her waist, that's illegal contact!"
Disregarding the fact that the illegal contact rule should never be enforced at six yards, he wasn't even six yards beyond the line. He was five, and thus completely legal. Simply terrible.
Not to mention that, iirc, it was on the OPPOSITE side of the field from where the play happened. asdflskdghweo
Also, missed the Packers' 72-yard TD. FML.
Wheeee, we have no defense.
If this brings about the firing of Lovie, I'm okay with it.
Plus, like, come on, it's the NFL. Who gives a crap in comparison with all of the awesome of this weekend.
Rodgers came through when we needed him to, but otherwise we had no offense.
The main reason I'm happy about winning is that it would have sucked to lose after that awful illegal contact call.
Yeah, it was a BS call. The refs in general were not "on" this game. Lots of spots that were just downright weird.
Oh man, how uncomfortable does Tony Dungy look? lmao
