OT- Osama Bin Laden is Dead
Apparently something big is happening in the world. We have NO idea what. But I suggest you get to a television.
The only thing they have said is that it is "national security related."
EDIT: Twitter is abuzz with a rumor that we got Bin Laden. Waiting for TomVH to confirm. Also, If this is too political, feel free to delete. But I thought this might generate some interest.

It was a little odd. It's true that the Islamic custom is to bury a body within 24 hours of decease (which we upheld), but it's also required to have to have the dead person's head buried facing Mecca, and it's anyone's guess where his head is facing, since it's somewhere down in the ocean. I don't know why we were insistent on observing one Islamic burial custom but not necessarily another - or why we even felt compelled to do so for a mass murderer like this. I do agree with burying him at sea, though - it prevents his burial site from becoming a place of pilgrimmage. Hopefully, before the burial, we obtained good DNA/photographic evidence to confirm beyond a doubt that it was him.
