OT- Osama Bin Laden is Dead

The only thing they have said is that it is "national security related."

CBS is saying he was shot in the head.
Apparently the SEALs carried out the operation with the President's approval.
To my knowledge we have had ground troops in Pakistan for about 3 months. Rumsfeld thinks we got intel from prisoners at Gitmo.

Obama had intel on the whereabouts of bin laden for about 3 months it was just a matter of coordinating the attack and giving the order. I said in another post, but Admiral Mike Mullen the Chairman of the Joint Cheifs Staff was in Pakistan in mid April. He went there to discuss relations between US and Pakistan, but experts are saying he was there to also coordinate and plan the attack.
CNN saying that he was killed in a mansion outside Islamabad with some family. Pretty badass. Can't wait to read the book.

But wait until the buzz wears off and people start asking how he was hidden there. These will be valid questions, but the last thing we need is another amorphous front opened in the war on terror.
I know this sounds sick, but part of me wants to see the pics of his dead body just to see what he looks like. I remember there being videos of Sadaam Hussein's public hanging floating around the internet.
I think they're almost obligated to do this, just for the sake of proof. There are bound to be lots of people who won't believe he's dead unless they see the body.

To see the live shots outside the White House with people dancing is pretty awesome. As someone just mentioned on NBC, this is pretty much the closest thing we have seen to a 'war' celebration in this country since VJ Day.

bin Laden had a nice little short-barrel AK-74U; a Soviet-style light arm designed for tank/armor units.
And I hope that the guy who was a good enough shot to put the bullet through bin Laden's head gets to keep it.
