I know it's the off season and it's extremely slow around here but this really seems misplaced to seek other gamers on the MGoBoard.

Aren't there Xbox forums for this type of thing?

Threads like this are something of a minor semi-tradition here actually. There are teams on various user groups and leagues in others which are predominantly MGoBloggers and indeed a couple people even get into the Call Of Duty and other similar forums. Granted, in the non-OT season they may or may not stay up depending on other news, but at this time of the year, they are acceptable.

created UM roster up on madden 15 for this last season on x1. Made them the chargers, its in the roster share area, nothing spectacular. I'll go in and edit them then grab harbaugh off the niners to coach. Only solution for next gen ncaa.

buy I have a question/opinions needed. I'm not a fanboy so I could care less what console you play on. I'd own all if I could but I find myself a Sony guy. I just prefer their general "feel" & view of gaming (whatever you want to call it). I'd switch consoles in a second if they make a modern day Sega Saturn, etc. Yet, until they do I try each new console out & have chosen Sony since PS1. Every console has positives & negatives! I have no allegiance. **Anyway, POINT OF POST NOW** Since I own a PS4 I can't join if I wanted to but here is my query: How many current (even last gen) Madden players truly liked the game? You can even rate it against last gens versions. I find most are like myself & greatly prefer the EA FB games from the PS2/Xbox/GC gen. I also find many agree with me that the engine they switched to last gen was terrible & it seems that they kept that engine backbone this gen. That concerns me. So, to those that have played Madden from two gens ago up until this gen of console - is it a good game? A genuinely GOOD game as opposed to one you force yourself to like/make excuses for due to being your only option? I admit I have not played it due to no demo. Forget that it's your only option. Forget the admittedly great visuals. From GENUINE FOOTBALL LOVING GUYS that I know you are, Does the game play well? Does it feel like football? Is it fluid? Do you play the game more than dancing around or exploiting AI scripts, etc? Basically I'd like a review from gamers that play & know FB, not paid staffers that rarely or don't play sports games but had to knock out a review in between their 8th straight hour of WoW. PS: I used to love franchise mode where you could set prices, upgrade the stadium, etc but last gen they somehow couldn't make a good game or add features on consoles 30x more powerful than those they did previously add the features to. If they brought them back last gen it was the last couple versions if at all, IIRC. Does the game have a legit franchise mode? Around the draft I get a hankering for Madden but I'm relegated to the last PS2 Madden/NCAA (no joke, still great games). I ask because I'd bought a couple last gen EA FB games after reviews from people/publications I mentioned above only to hate them. NCAA/Madden just felt wrong to me last gen. Reviewers didn't know the game so they'd just give it a yearly "8/10" like clockwork. I want to buy it but I want to buy a game I'll like. Genuine FB fans, please help me. THANK YOU for any & all replies, kind or not. Forgive the wall of text. I'm on the droid app by force. Nothing I can do right now. Thanks again.

if anyone wants to add me on PSN I have my main account & a sub. I play on my sub account on PS3 but decided to use my main on PS4. My main is (no quotes): "dwhdwh" & my sub is "DanWillHor". I've added a few from here years back so add if you'd like. I play a bit of everything outside of JRPGs like Final Fantasy, etc. I do have NCAA 13 (Barry on cover) & it wasn't atrocious so I'd play if anyone wanted. I'll likely get 14 for collection/history/Denard purposes eventually. I have PS+. I don't have much time for gaming anymore but I manage to find a few hours a week. Thanks again & hope all are having a great V-day as opposed to getting paid OT to stick in front of a desk doing nothing at 7pm ha.

NCAA and madden peaked around '09, IMO. Since then, both games have been slipping. Back then, I could spend hours in NCAA playing dynasty after dynasty, recruiting, disciplining players, etc, then sending the draft classes to madden and playing dynasty after dynasty with those same players again building and running a stadium, drafting and trading for my favorite players, and all the other small offseason and out of game features that were left out of or watered-down in later years. Gameplay fell, too. Seemed like graphics was the only thing they were worried about improving. I haven't bought madden in 3-4 years, and only still play NCAA 14 to get my UM football fix, but neither game is the same as they once were.

I essentially had an entire generation of console go by with no playable football game. I remember getting the first NCAA for PS3. I was working so my younger brother grabbed it & we were geeked to play all night assuming it would be the same game/engine/features with improved visuals. Nothing radically different as nothing had to be drastically changed. We start a game & the menu was clunky, slow & confusing despite the lack of options. The stadiums looked cool but we play on "high view" & were immediately bewildered as to where the camera option was. We literally said "I'm sure it's somewhere, like in the main menu" and decided to just play. We both played awkwardly in silence vs each other as opposed to trash talk, etc. It was so bad I finally paused it & logged at him with a wtf face. He just said "uh....yeah, this game sucks. Let's hope sliders do something to help". They didn't. I played it exactly 3 times for a total of an hour. Somehow was dumb enough to think Madden would be different. Nope. Both suckered me one more time before I quit, each demo confirming they were both still terrible. Finally, NCAA 13 was "playable", IMO. Not good but a CFB fix, as you said. I'll get 14 eventually. I'm just wondering if EA changed anything engine wise. If they still use the same engine with prettier graphics I'm not buying. That's why I asked. I genuinely want a FB game to play that's good rather than my only option.
