Ann Arbor under any circumstance.

A lot of really ugly shit happens in our neighbor city to the east.  The number of murders, beatings, etc. in Ypsi is stunning compared to Ann Arbor.

This may be similar to comparing Grosse Pointe Park to Detroit, which also have contiguous boundaries.

I will say, as someone who lived in both cities, there is some truth to the differences, though I heard persistent rumors that AAPD would "suggest" certain individuals get picked up in Ypsi so that A2 didn't have to deal with them.

Surprised it took so long for the Ypsi jokes to hit this thread.

FYI, Prospect Park is in the heart of the city... around the corner from Depot Town and in a neighborhood with homes that were part of the underground railroad.  It's not West Willow, or Macarthur Blvd or Leforge Rd, but rather a very typical middle class neighborhood with rich historical roots.

I lived a lot of years in both cities... I won't sugarcoat it, Ypsi has its problem areas... but to gloss over the fact that Ann Arbor also has problem areas (less than Ypsi, but they still exist) is very typical.

The first problem here is that it seems police think that the pooping is being done at the park.  If I were inclined to do such weird stuff, I'd poop in a bag and shake it out onto the slide.  Less conspicuous.

Maybe I'm just well versed in the art, living in Columbus for the past 10 years...

The outcast. The slut. The bitch. The whore. The lonely, sad, slutty, bitchy whore. You sat on the sideline while these four titans battled it out. You were jealous that a few pieces of poop got more attention than you. That's why when the lights went out you unleashed some thunder of your own. Thunder of the...chocolate variety!

That's pretty twisted, especially considering that the park is adjacent to Depot Town and an elementary school (Adams, I think). It's a popular park in a well-travelled part of Ypsilanti and it's sad that it has come to contemplating installing cameras and staking out the place to catch some idiot taking a dump on playground equipment. I would be afraid to know what set that person down this road really.

I don't know if anyone saw the story about that one park in Illinois where someone glued razor blades to some of the equipment and a kid actually ended up cut because of it. That was awful too. I hope the offenders in both instances are caught personally.

in the DMSO. Some robbers do it, too, leaving a little calling card behind.

Come to think of it, an old girlfriend had a cat that used to do it to her. . .

Sorry but Ypsi is basically a shit hole...how is this surprising? I haven't lived there for 5 or so years, but I seriously doubt much has changed there.

Yeah. It seems, though, that they'd release that information because the equation in the minds of the police reads "Deterrence/Stopping the incidents > apprehension of offender", at least at first. This has, in fact, been quite the shit streak as a poster above mentioned. Stopping it is the priority right now.
