Come on BCS Chaos
November 18th, 2011 at 11:42 PM ^
Let me amend my earlier statement. I don't want an Alabama-LSU rematch. Oregon-LSU I could maybe stomach but not two SEC teams in the championship. The outcry for playoffs would be too loud to ignore. Why you ask? Just look at this game. Who would have thought ISU would beat OSU? Any team can beat any other team. No Alabama-LSU rematch.
November 18th, 2011 at 11:43 PM ^
Holy Crap! ISU just might do this.

WHEEL OF DOOM (illinois '10 flashbacks!!!!)
November 18th, 2011 at 11:43 PM ^
Great defense on that opening touchdown of overtime.
Welcome to Big 12 Football.
November 18th, 2011 at 11:43 PM ^
Oh my.
November 18th, 2011 at 11:44 PM ^
Anyone having else having an Illinois 2010 flashback?
November 18th, 2011 at 11:44 PM ^
Does it remind you of anything? It was the same play Illinois burned on us Last Year
November 18th, 2011 at 11:45 PM ^
Gonna get close and throw fades to Blackmon until he snags one
November 18th, 2011 at 11:46 PM ^

November 18th, 2011 at 11:49 PM ^
Oh my v2.0
November 18th, 2011 at 11:49 PM ^

November 18th, 2011 at 11:49 PM ^

November 18th, 2011 at 11:49 PM ^

November 18th, 2011 at 11:50 PM ^
Every game's a playoff game.
November 18th, 2011 at 11:50 PM ^
and more WOW, INT
November 18th, 2011 at 11:50 PM ^
November 18th, 2011 at 11:51 PM ^
so who shall it be:
oregon or alabama?
November 18th, 2011 at 11:53 PM ^
No matter what, it looks like a rematch.
November 19th, 2011 at 12:18 AM ^
I think Oklahoma jumps both of they win out...
November 19th, 2011 at 1:44 AM ^
I'm with Oregon, if they win out. They've vastly improved since the LSU game in September, and peaking at the right time.
November 18th, 2011 at 11:52 PM ^
Please anyone but Alabama/LSU again! Watch LSU lose in the SEC Championship game.
November 18th, 2011 at 11:56 PM ^
Listening to the media slobber over 2 SEC schools in the national championship game...that will suck beyond words.
November 18th, 2011 at 11:57 PM ^
To beat LSU and/or Bama.

If they set up an in conference rematch where the SEC is guaranteed another title after 2006 where everyone said "nooo, we can't do that", I'm going to strangle somebody.
November 18th, 2011 at 11:52 PM ^
November 18th, 2011 at 11:54 PM ^
Did anyone really think that OSU was the legit #2 team in the country? I think not. And Bama needs to keep quiet, you scored 9 points on your home field.
November 19th, 2011 at 12:18 AM ^
They scored 6 points at home. Oregon scored 27 against the same defense on a neutral site. West Virginia put up 21. Hell, Kentucky put up 7 in Baton Rouge. Western Kentucky put up 9. Alabama does not have a good enough offense to get a rematch.
November 19th, 2011 at 1:24 AM ^
to compare scores. The game dictated that both offenses be more conservative to not lose it for their defenses. Bama's offense has been qute good in every other game against a competitive schedule, and they outgained LSU. A lot of people don't like the way Saban does things, but look at the product on the field and there is no other team as good.
Now, whether the BCS will agree or not? That's anybody's guess. Oregon definitely has a leg up with the opportunity to play in a conference championship game.

Reinforces everything Brian's been saying about piped-in music around here for the last three years.
November 18th, 2011 at 11:55 PM ^
Yay, 2 SEC teams going to the championship game! Isn't this a great day you guys? Won't that be fun?
Ugh.
November 18th, 2011 at 11:55 PM ^
Had to be some of the worst defense and tackling I've ever seen from a top 10 team.
November 18th, 2011 at 11:55 PM ^
Great game for Iowa State.
November 18th, 2011 at 11:57 PM ^
After '06 I hope to never see a rematch in the championship game.
November 19th, 2011 at 12:01 AM ^
The two teams who seem most likely to play LSU in the title game—Oregon and Alabama—have already played LSU once.
November 19th, 2011 at 12:04 AM ^
Realizing that was the inspiration for that comment. I especially don't want to see 2 SEC teams in the championship game.
November 19th, 2011 at 12:20 AM ^
At least it would be two conference champions. Alabama won't even be a division winner. I guess I'm mildly pulling for Oregon. Oklahoma's loss at home to Texas Tech is by far the worst loss by a top 10 team this year.
November 18th, 2011 at 11:56 PM ^
so what if Arkansas beats LSU now? and is OU screwed over now because now they don't get a shot to beat the #2 team in the country? will anyone care if houston goes undefeated?
November 18th, 2011 at 11:58 PM ^
Flag on the final td play?
November 19th, 2011 at 12:30 AM ^
I saw that too. Well I saw ESPN's flag indicator thing come up for a second, not an actual flag. Maybe it was a mistake by ESPN, or maybe it was just on the D.

November 19th, 2011 at 12:00 AM ^
I have watched quite a few games the last 2 years called by Joe Tessitore and I gotta say he is the man. Very underrated announcer.
November 19th, 2011 at 12:00 AM ^
#1 LSU still has to play #6 Arkansas
#2 Alabama & #3 Oregon take care of business this week & next
Who plays in National Champ? Alabama vs. Oregon, both at 11-1, with their losses to #3 LSU?
What a joke. The BCS is really causing me to be more jaded each passing year with CFB because it's such a sham. Why do I put so much of my time to invest in watching games & following CFB for such an unsatisfying conclusion?
November 19th, 2011 at 12:04 AM ^
the trojans they could very well upset the ducks tommorow.
November 19th, 2011 at 12:06 AM ^
I actually wouldn't mind a 'Bama/Oregon NC game, simply because it would screw over one of the biggest douches in college football.
That being said, fuck Saban.

November 19th, 2011 at 12:22 AM ^
It proved that Oklahoma State isn't as good as some were claiming they were. It said absolutely nothing about either LSU or Alabama. I think Oregon would stomp Bama right now.
