OT: Oklahoma State Vs. Iowa State

Submitted by LSAClassOf2000 on

0-0 with 9 minutes and some change to go in the first quarter, but Iowa State threatening. This might be the first time on a weeknight this month that ESPN has not shown MAC action.

Let me amend my earlier statement. I don't want an Alabama-LSU rematch. Oregon-LSU I could maybe stomach but not two SEC teams in the championship. The outcry for playoffs would be too loud to ignore. Why you ask? Just look at this game. Who would have thought ISU would beat OSU? Any team can beat any other team. No Alabama-LSU rematch.

To beat LSU and/or Bama.

<br>If they set up an in conference rematch where the SEC is guaranteed another title after 2006 where everyone said "nooo, we can't do that", I'm going to strangle somebody.

They scored 6 points at home. Oregon scored 27 against the same defense on a neutral site. West Virginia put up 21.  Hell, Kentucky put up 7 in Baton Rouge. Western Kentucky put up 9. Alabama does not have a good enough offense to get a rematch.

to compare scores. The game dictated that both offenses be more conservative to not lose it for their defenses. Bama's offense has been qute good in every other game against a competitive schedule, and they outgained LSU. A lot of people don't like the way Saban does things, but look at the product on the field and there is no other team as good.

Now, whether the BCS will agree or not? That's anybody's guess. Oregon definitely has a leg up with the opportunity to play in a conference championship game.

so what if Arkansas beats LSU now? and is OU screwed over now because now they don't get a shot to beat the #2 team in the country? will anyone care if houston goes undefeated?

The winner in Bedlam is still going to be in the title game (especially if it's Oklahoma). Voters will jump them to avoid a rematch.

#1 LSU still has to play #6 Arkansas

#2 Alabama & #3 Oregon take care of business this week & next

Who plays in National Champ?   Alabama vs. Oregon, both at 11-1, with their losses to #3 LSU?

What a joke.   The BCS is really causing me to be more jaded each passing year with CFB because it's such a sham.   Why do I put so much of my time to invest in watching games & following CFB for such an unsatisfying conclusion?
