OT - Ohio State DT Kosta Karageorge apparently missing

Submitted by McSomething on

Per NBCSports Karageorge has been missing since around 2 am on Wednesday. A missing person's report has been filed. Rivalry and Buckeye hatred aside, I can only imagine how hard this must hit his family.

Karageorge has a history of concussions.

His family mentioned that there are times where the repercussions of them come back and he gets disoriented and doesn't know where he is or who he is.

The OSU medical staff have done a tremendous job handling this when the problems pop up, but at two in the morning, if they flared up when he went for a walk, there's no telling what could have happened.

We're all hoping he returns safely.

Hopefully the young man turns up and is ok.

Some Summary Info:

- Kosta has a history of concussions and their after effects (including becoming disoriented).

- Urban spoke at the Friday pep rally and doesn't really know much information and asked thoughts & prayers for Kosta and his family.

- A search has been planned by friends/family at the apartments/surrounding area where his cell phone was last pinged.

I love watching football, but more needs to be done regarding concussion prevention and treatment. Guys are too big and fast and there is too much pressure to win on coaches and athletes.

That said, I am still holding out hope for this young man.
