It is also sad that Jon Waters was trying to slowly change the culture and he is fired over traditions that pre-dated him for 20 years.
I went to the same high school as Jon and remember watching him spend his spring breaks at the HS parking lot practicing to dot the I. This was his dream job and he is a stand up guy. The things that were discussed in the report would mean virtually ever head coach of a sports team would need dismissed.

I had a female friend who was on OSU's band for all 4 years of college. She's not denying that things like this happened, but she also said she was never forced to participate. The older band members always re-assured her that if anything made her feel uncomfortable at any point she could stop and they wouldn't think any less of her.
