My avatar is my daughter who's now 5 and a half. She'll be attending her first Michigan football game this September. Sadly I don't have this picture anymore because the hd is was on died. So it will forever be my mgoavatar.
I have a 5 and almost 3 year old (28th) they really got into the last basketball season.

OT - Official MGoBaby Thread (you got 'em, we want to see 'em)
...that is funny.
I was just nonchalantly scrolling through and once my brain registered what my eyes saw I could not stop laughing. That is the funniest thing I have seen for months. Funnier than "Will you look at that" video on YouTube. People were looking at me like I was possessed. I even showed my buddy from the beginning of the thread and could not stop laughing waiting for him to get to your post. Epic, well done!
This little guy looks exactly like my law school roommate looked in 1978, except my roommate was definitely taller. Same eyes.
it comes to digital records, if they only exist in one place, you don't have them. With most pictures just an oops away from being lost, please make sure you have them safely stored in (at least) a second location.
Mine is grown, graduated and married, but I'll be happy to look at the cute pictures while you do the sleepless nights and worrying. My worrying is pretty much down to occasions when she is traveling or a storm is bearing down on DC.
Thanks for reminding me to back up all my family pics/vids on my external hard drive.
i see enough of these disgusting creatures on Facebook and now they have invaded this safe little world and i don't like it.
congrats on the babies and all, but get off my lawn
Well I can tell you one thing . . . You're not making it onto my 2014 list of favorite MGoPosters. That's for damn sure!
(Seriously though, great response to my preemptive defense!)
To figure out how to get this picture to work I would post one of my son...but I'm not..so I won't.
Didn't you need to post with your other username?
More serious, is the OP pic link not working for others?
It doesn't work for me here at work either. Hahaha.
Its a JPEG photo so maybe that's the problem??
It's the only picture in the whole thread that I can't view.
What did you upload it from?
Straight from my saved photos my hard drive (saved as a JPEG) into the thread. I tried saving it as a different type of file without success.
Upload to a third party host, like imgur. Switch to plain text. Add it in as <img scr=url>.
Rookie mistake PGB! You have to upload it to an image hosting site, then reference the URL. You can't upload straight from your computer's hard drive. LOL no0b!1!!!1!
Cooperlily has only been a member since March....how was he supposed to know?
And who is this PGB you speak of?
Right! I learned soon after joining in March that Moleskyn was not to be trusted.
The gubment come and took mah baaaby!
The dingo ate my baby!!!
Where did you get that sweatshirt from?
The sweatshirt store.
MDen
Where did you get that sweatshirt from?
I'm on my phone so I can't see the avatars, but as soon as I saw that pic I knew it was you. Plus that pic is funny as hell.
when you are planning to have Shane sign him/her/it!
My brother thinks it's too much trouble to send me a pic of my nephew wearing this, but I crocheted a winged helmet for his kid.
That is SO awesome. Soo, if I give you my address and my kids' head sizes... ;)
We might be able to work something out. I've thought about starting an Etsy store, but I fear DB would shut it down. :(
THAT IS AMAZING.
DO WANT.
SRZLY.
I'd be down for buying one as well
Okay, how about this. If anyone really wants to buy one, $20. Email me [email protected] with size you want (0-6 month [specify if newborn since it's a little bit smaller]; 6-12 month; toddler/child [child usually fits up until around puberty]; adult).
one XL adult size for the pumpkin atop my neck and one toddler sized please. I live in Columbus, help me keep him away from the Dark Side
What do I win?
Holy sh-t! Two thoughts:
(1) You win the "Most Fertile MGoDad" award; and
(2) You had better started saving for college about 200 years ago!
For your sake I hope it's birth control.
Yikes.
He is happy with the current amount of children that he has
He also looks happy with the current number of children that he has.
that is what a family should look like!
I don't know how to post pictures on here... but my wife makes little girls clothing and my daughter has numerous 'modeling pictures' on the web...
http://www.createkidscouture.com/bridgettes
Do you all offer MGoDiscounts? If not, I'm definitely not showing that site to my wife!
my wife isn't stingy (they do fund raisers, and all the testers get free stuff) but she isn't too big on hooking my friends up with anything...
We've had an arguement or two about that topic... She seems to think that her work deserves a monetary reward, I think she should just hook up people we like. I guess its better for all of us that she runs a business and I teach...
jdon
Smart lady. If she was even more hardcore, she'd add a surcharge for friends/family since they are most likely to make a purchase. Discount the general public and surcharge insiders.
I hope I'm right that the baby is a girl. You can finally stop!
She is... however this is an old picture. Since this was taken we've had another girl and my wife is due in a month with what I hope is our last boy. Permanent measures are being taken. :)
I suggest you cease bedroom shenanigans until you've gotten tested. I wouldn't doubt some alien like you with your Vulcan verility could double-impregnante an already pregnant woman.
Or, (using your picture and my powers of deduction; I see 5 kids there, yet I can't see her hips behind your boys. Obviously she's delivered by cesarean before and should again.) Make sure they tie up those tubes while they're in there.
I don't know whether to thank you for the advise or fight you for trying to look at my wife's hips... :)
Even the Brady Bunch stopped at 6...
Sign them up. I doubt it's the big one.
I swear I recognize you.....Lutheran Pastor or teacher????
No, but I went to a Lutheran school in the Toledo area. Does this mean we know each other?
I was sure I recognized you and your wife. I think your doppelganger is a WELS pastor. Oh well, great looking family! Go Blue!
You win 10 orphans.
This just reminded me that I never told the end of my story...way back when, I published a diary about my prospective son's name hinging on the outcome of the Michigan-Alabama game. It was going to be Bear if Bama won, and Bo if Michigan won.
Obviously we know how that came out.
But speaking of "came out", it was a SHE that came out! So the good news is we named her Susannah (and call her "Zuzu" for short).
The bad news is my wife wants DOUBLE or NOTHING on the boy, whenever he comes...either NICHOLAS BEAR or ... well, nothing, which as any guy on here can tell you is something else she wanted anyway :)
but
IN HOKE SIGNO VINCES!!!
My daughter is due, as of yesterday, to provide me with my first grandchild (will be a girl). I will gladly provide numerous photos. In the interim, here's one of my three daughters with some strange guy.
P.S. My son-in-law is also a UM grad, so this child will be all maize and blue.
They're not babies anymore, but my 2 girls last spring in AA
Well played. Cute little rascals. However what is this GAP they're reppin?
And I'll keep with the baby theme.
My first when she was just a couple months old:
My second at about 1.5 years old (and you can't tell from this picture, but I'm actually wearing the same shirt as the picture above - 2 years later!):
Wait a minute. Those girls look Oriental and Andrew.
the first thing i thought was he ain't lying about his mgoname...
the first thing i thought was "hey those aren't baby rugs" but now that i know he's asian i guess i'm the one that was being racist.
disclaimer: all of my asian friends in high school insisted that "oriental" was a description of rugs, and therefore inappropriate as a description of humans.
http://journalism.nyu.edu/publishing/archives/livewire/archived/oriental_rugs_or_people/
My sister would always pull the "Oriental is a rug" thing in high school and make people very uncomfortable (while we were giggling inside).
I'm a bit less politically correct than my sis.
I was told that the reason it is offensive is because it is an Eurocentric term. Oriental meaning east of Europe. Also, lumping an entire cardinal direction of people into one category is kind of offensive in general considering the incredible diversity of culture in Asia.
From wikipedia - "The Orient means "the East". It is a traditional designation for anything that belongs to the Eastern world or the Near East or Far East, in relation to Europe"
I used to call white people "Occidental" ;)
Almost nobody got that :(
But it hasn't meant that for a hundred years. No one refers to India as the Orient. And about the only thing from the middle east considered Oriental anymore is the aforementioned rugs.
As for lumping an entrire cardinal direction of people into one category, I hope we're going to stop calling people "Mediterranean" or "Middle Eastern" ...I mean, we should do away with "Asian" (and European and African) altogether.
I find the people who are actually from Asia care the least about it, and it's people who have never stepped foot in the "Orient" that are looking for reasons to be offended so they can be as downtrodden as other groups.
I nearly busted a gut at this comment, lol
If your girls are demanding GAP attire this young, I sure hope you have a well-paying job because the next 20 years will be hard on the checkbook.
Not that it makes any difference in the end result, but in my experience, at this age, it's the mother demanding such attire for them.
forgot this pic in my other post further down the thread, this one is of my son's first trip to Ann Arbor, about 5 months old at the time.
Do NOT let her step on that M! Doom!
a naked run by a toddler wouldn't be that out of the ordinary. Youngest age to quash the curse!
That's why I was holding HIM tightly, not that it would've mattered as he was not walking yet at that age. We'll be back in Ann Arbor this August though so we'll have to make sure to watch out that he doesn't step on it then.

Here's my 18 month old eating raspberries in the middle of Costco. Apparently he thought the 2 quart container of tapioca pudding would make a good seat. Sadly he has his Dad's hair.
That is totally cute. Just wait until he's older and he asks to go to Costco for the free samples. There is an upscale grocery down the street from our house and my youngest always asks to go there for samples on Saturday.
That's the only reason I go to Costco. Also, the flagship Whole Foods is in Austin. I can go there any day of the week and basically get a full meal for free just walking around.
I'm definitely not posting a picture of my kid on here.
CooperLily. I was just lamenting the fact that my 12 year old is already 5'9" and the other two are getting big as well. Now I see all these cute babies! They grow up too fast, people. Mark my words. Savor every minute!!
He is NOT amused.
Negged because not a baby. READ THE THREAD TITLE MORAN.
neg the Snuggie® not the kid.
So Adult Children and Llamas are upvoted but you're going to criticize a picture of a 7 year-old? Are you sure you're not Mr. Rager in disguise?
And so glad you misspelled Moron. Brought a smile to my face to be negged by a MORON who can't spell MORON. :)
I hope you don't think he was truly criticizing your picture. He was just having a laugh. I'd venture to guess that he actually upvoted you, for what its worth.
A+++ response, would neg again.
Are you sure he's not watching the officiating at the National Champioship game??
is riding a stuffed animal. I will assume the animal's name is "Mark Dantonio", no?
First female left tackle at UM. She's already riding donkeys.
Then again, I don't really know how I'd feel if my little girl were 6'7" and 310 lbs... Yikes!
HA! My wife and I almost made our daughter's middle name Wolverine. You are a better fan than we are!
How long from banging --> forming babby?
Beware, not safe for anyone.
How did you even know this existed?
<-----------Obviously, there's the avatar picture to the left, but here's a few more.

And last - a whole family shot of the entire MGoFamily:
From my in person meeting impression that MGoBlog Men have that je ne sais quoi that allows them to trade up big time when it comes to their women.
Thanks! I'll show my wife your comment when I get home, she'll appreciate it. Yeah I definitely got lucky getting her, she's definitely a step above what a guy like me should be able to land. She was a cheerleader at GVSU her freshman year before transferring to Michigan, where she was offered a spot on the team but turned it down due to needing to work to pay for school, so I am a lucky son of a gun, thats for sure.
But after the HTTV release party last year many people called the photos from it a dork fest (I can say that...my picture was in there too looking dorky), but the women they were with certainly were not. So it's more average to above average guys with really fine women. (I did the same.)
Mike and I work at the same company and we're having lunch tomorrow. We can report back on each others' levels of dorkiness...
are you dorkier for having the Michigan Voltron avatar, or am I dorkier for knowing that it is a Voltron avatar?
I'd say it's a tie.
Met Mike over lunch and determined that we are both dorks, but that he is a bigger geek, while I am a bigger nerd. So there you go.
Also, nice meeting you in person, Mike!
It was nice to put a face to the username, and agree on the geek/nerd assessment.
If there are any other MGoBloggers on here that work for AonHewitt in Lincolnshire, IL, let Andrew or I know so we can all do a UM lunch!
Is it bad that my first post on this hallowed blog is not about Michigan sports at all, but is instead about my kid? If so it's my husbands fault. I was content to be a lurker until he sent me the link to this post. Before I knew what had happened the internet had sucked 30 minutes of my life away while I was learning about image hosting and picture uploading.
Here's my little man less than 24 hours fresh belatedly celebrating the 2012 Sugar Bowl win.
And here he is less than a year later cheering on his team during the 2013 Outback Bowl. He was so sure the carrot would help spur Team 133 to victory...
And welcome to MGOBLOG, fellow Mom!! Wendy, the Beer Mom from san diego, and I are happy to have you!! (I suspect HERM is also a woman, but it hasn't been proven yet.)
I am also in that club, but my baby just turned 14.
Thanks ladies for making me feel welcome!!
This is definitely in the running for the "Best First Post" award. Thanks and we're glad to have you on the Board!
Ha, thanks! I've been lurking on my husband's account for a couple years and just recently got my own. Posting can be intimidating (in a good way) on this board so I'm glad my first one went over so well.
That's the best thing about this thread (if I do say so myself) . . . An MGoParent can't help but comment!
I agree. I have Bella and Easton the best of both worlds.
But...
Now if only I knew how to do it I would add mine. Nice to see all the young wolverines!
I hope he didn't hurt Lewan's hand
This takes up the rest of my free time when I'm not on the sideline shooting photos!
Cutting down a Christmas tree with my oldest (a lot warmer in CA).
At Christmas time
And eating ice cream at the mall.
Our newest patojito now big enough for his M hat. And he'll be home in time for Memorial Day festivities - he gets discharged on Saturday morning!
EDIT: Not sure why it's so big. He's actually very small in real life.
Can we get an Mgopuppy thread?
But I can't help showing off my babies after seeing all yours!
Baby #1, about 6 months old, toweling off after bathtime:
Baby #2: Almost 10 years old now, and so outdoorsy! Here's a picture from a trip up to the Angeles National Forest.
OK, it's hard to see the block M, but the colors are there, and man is he one happy fan! Probably just saw a Denard smile or something... I also have video of him (unprompted) singing "The Victors" (tune only) while he was playing with his toys...
Edit: Original post distorted the pic...
Our son was born three and a half weeks ago, but it looks like he's got the fist pump down already.
He's got spirit! That is a CUTE baby.
He won't stop screaming...

My MGoTwin boys... arranged marraiges?
