Or as it was so properly called "opportunity to make snarky comments about ND" thread. Boy, inch above 500 points, get the auto email, and suddenly you feel the responsibility on your shoulders...
that is nice bonus change
The Wings are beating the Ducks 2-0 and Michigan basketball is looking good!
Fear the 'stache, Jimmah!
I know it's still early, but watching the Pitt/ND game and I can't believe that Pitt is ranked 12th.
By the by, LSU is down 13-10 to Louisiana Tech at the half. Just started the 2nd half on ESPNU.
Channel for the ND/Pitt game?
La Tech is flying to the ball. They just knocked a LSU receiver out of the game. Not sure why the SEC refs didn't call it helmet-to-helmet. I thought it was incidental contact between the helmets as most of the hit was in the body. The LaTech guy leaned back to avoid it.
I've got the Pitt game on ABC.
Yeah, I got the Texas Tech game here. No such luck on alternate ESPNs
I like the new uni's for tonight ("frog skin" helmet texturing), and they are absolutely throttling a GOOD Utah team. I'll put TCU's defense up against anybody... they remind me kinda sorta like the really good Tampa D's under Dungy where they had a whole team of guys that could just fly to any spot on the field. I have to say I've been surprised by their offense as well. Stat from tonight, TCU has now (with tonight's performance) scored 30+ pts in 8 out of 10 games.
BCS Busters unite! Somehow, someway give me a 12-0 Cincy v 12-0 TCU BCS game. Maybe the Fiesta Bowl if Texas gets picked up for the championship?
I can't find the game for some reason.
CBS College Sports on my Comcast
Just another reminder about why I hate everything to do with television contracts.
except an all-time Vegas bookie ass kicking... the line before the game was TCU by 20, and every serious bettor I know was putting big money on Utah to cover. TCU now up 35-14 heading to halftime...
I want to root for Notre Dame so there's a chance Weis sticks around, but they're inching awfully close to our all time win % lead.
I want to see who ND thinks that they can get. Brian Kelly or not, if Clausen goes, ND's offense will be a mess next year.
That was one hell of a TD catch for Pitt.
That was a pretty sweet grab by the Pitt receiver. Full layout grab with the defender running right next to him. Then he said into the camera something I couldn't quite make out. I think, "That's what you play for baby."
P.S. "That's hilarious. Did he just eat all those lobsters?"
Pitt up 10-3 at the half. They probably should've ended up with a t least a crack at a FG to end the half but blew it.
Wasn't Auburn up by a lot earlier in the game? I haven't been paying much attention to the Auburn-Georgia game but now Georgia is leading 24-17.
Make that 24-24 after a 99 yard kickoff return for a touchdown.
very early in the 1st. Since then suddenly Georgia found a defense, or rather Auburn keeps shooting themselves in the foot, or both. (Been flipping it between 4 games and Red Wings hockey)
Good game really.
Yeah, that game got lost in my rotation pretty early. I'll have to put ESPN2 back in there.
Wow! Arizona is down 16-18 at Cal and was driving for the score. On 3rd down a lineman tips the pass and the QB catches it. He starts running out to the side and sees a receiver wide open so he throws it to him.
Illegal forward pass (2 forward passes on the same play) is a spot foul so they lose about 13 yards and have a 4th and 17.
Man both of these teams are shooting themselves in the foot. Cal scores immediately (maybe too fast) and then completely drops the snap on the extra point so it's an 8 point game.
Arizona then gets called for a hold on the kickoff return.
But the Wings won 7-4 and Zetterberg had a hat trick against the Ducks! 3 wins now.
Texas Tech is up 10-7 over Oklahoma State 5 minutes into the second half. Hope everyone took the under.
I saw that score. Is it good defense or bad mistakes by the offenses?
Tech's defense is playing well. Tech's got 9 penalties for 74 yards and 2 interceptions, one of which I know is all Potts making a bad read. I missed the other. OSU is getting good pressure and Potts was throwing a lot from his back foot early on.
Overall, I'd say Tech is blowing their great play.
OSU just posted a 8-minute, 19 play drive to get just a field goal. Tied 10-10. Approximately half way through the 3Q.
That Big East commercial with coaches and fans texting each other might be the most bush league league promo ever.
Yes, that one was pretty darn bad. It was even worse than the other one I had seen the last couple weeks. Jim Leavitt is terrible, but then there are 2 even worse actors who watch his youtube clip and say, "That was hilarious. Did he just eat all those lobsters?"
Is ok that looked serious. He got carted off and you hate to see something like that.
What happened to ND's offense? Is Clausen that gimpy? Their passing game looked near-unstoppable at the beginning of the year. Now, even with Floyd back, it's a struggle for them to move the ball.
Was that game even televised anywhere in the USA??
Do people really believe Weiss is in the hot seat? He probably has like 10 yrs left on his contract, so firing him would probably cost 30 million or so.
I watched the first quarter before it became a total snoozer. TCU was annihilating them so I switched around for a while. Wasn't worth watching.
I'm rooting for Pitt but that was a questionable replay reversal. Not only was it hard to call that indisputable evidence, isn't the college rule that if the play is ruled dead they can't overtun it?
You could clearly see ND receivers casually walking while the ball was on the field since they had heard the whistle blown.
I'm happy for Pitt this season they have had a great year! Unfortunately Cincy will kill them.
is about to be canned.
