OT: NFL reportedly to loosen restriction and lessen penalties for marijuana
A league source told ESPN that the NFL plans to lessen its penalties for testing positive for marijuana and loosen its restriction on the drug - the latter meaning the league will increase the amount of marijuana that has to be in one's system to qualify as a positive test. The details are not in the report.
Also - and this has previously been reported - the league will begin testing for HGH. The gentleman pictured below denies the necessity of this second change in policy.

big hits
A marijuana killed my dad when I was a kid. I know its evils.
if caught eating Doritos in an attempt to stamp out marijuana use.
that guy's nipples point straight towards the ground.
I double dog dare ya' to.
I cant help but wonder if the incongruity of Josh Gordon's expected year long ban for trace amounts of synthetic weed as Ray Rice walks free from league punishment for beating his fiance senseless in an elevator might have had something to do with this.
My guess is that they were talking about making the change before that, but Gordon's suspension seems to have been greeted by an unusually large amount of people as nonsensical.
mitch mcgary for TE.
If McGary was only banned from basketball it would be hilarious and awesome to watch him.
I think he'd have issues with pad level though.
Good
Not saying, just saying
... in post form.
Soooo....HGH makes you get excessively large tattoos that you will probably regret later in life?
Dan Partrick was talking about this this morning. His position is that the league has basically told the players union that they are going to seriously crack down on weed use until the union agrees to hgh testing. The union called and the NFL dropped the hammer on Gordon. HGH testing is coming for sure and weed testing and penalties are going to go away.
I think this is another attempt to make the game safer. They want to slow the players down and therefore create less violent collisions by letting them all be stoned.

Both legalization of marijuana and medical marijuana are very complicated matters. One of the most outrageous outcomes of marijuana prohibition is that many sick people cannot legally access the medicine that works best for them. For many seriously ill people, medical marijuana is the only medicine that relieves their pain and suffering, or treats symptoms of their medical condition, without debilitating side effects. Opponents of medical marijuana argue that marijuana is addictive, leads to harder drug use, interferes with fertility, impairs driving ability, and injures the lungs, immune system, and brain. They say that medical marijuana is a front for drug legalization and recreational use.
