OT: NFL Playoff Open Thread

Basketball games done. (Nice win). First game almost done, but Manningham still making plays. And then Tebow vs. Big Ben. (Make your own jokes about those two).  So, some football to carry us into that great bowl game tonight.

These games are pretty bad. Except for the very top, the NFL is pretty weak this year and these wildcard matchups are terrible. Steelers-Broncos shouldn't be much better. Low scoring but I don't see the Steelers letting Tebow back in.

I think I'm trying to convince myself to watch them. The Lions-Saints was good on paper, and most of the game, but the other wild card match-ups are a drag. Hopefully next week will be better with the rest of the big guns.

<br>Might be time to rewatch the Sugar Bowl.

I cant watch another football game after last nights game. Such a frustrating second half. Its not that we lost. Its that we had a chance if we could tackle or if the secondary could have caught some of brees passes

All the broncos need is 3 safeties for the tie! It'll all probably happen in the last 4 minutes of the game tho. Until then, I'll watch paint dry...

...was giving 2-1 odds against Denver winning a playoff game with Tebow at QB, regardless of the opponent or site.

Did anyone take him up on it?

Apparently and correct me if I am wrong, whistling the play dead called it a incomplete pass therefore unreviewable - i thought all plays were reviewable including those whistled dead? The "whistled dead" rule is ridiculous and while Nantz is a questionable announcer (see: Fab Five coverage) he was right that the NFL committee needs to look at the whistle issue.

Polamalu is a dirty player - will enjoy seeing Tebow beat his smug but.

However, given the Michigan folks on Steeler unit, will be a heavy heart that i cheer for Polamalu to lose.

10 minutes on the clock. New quarter. Whoever wins the quarter wins teh game. Simple and fair. The new rules try to move away from the old ones but still give the team who wins the coin toss a significant advantage....so they don't really accomplish anything except make it more confusing.
