OT: NFL open thread: GO LIONS!

Submitted by Mitch Cumstein on

Must win for the Lions today against a mediocre opponent.  Some other solid early games as well with a big game in the AFC North between the Ravens and Bengals.

I always root for the team who has Michigan alums on it. Lions will win today IMO.

Gonna have to root for Woodson & the Packers on thanksgiving though.

He has been a warrior and played through injuries. He may not be the ideal LT because of his build and athleticism.  The fact that he has not missed a game since he was drafted speak a lot of his toughness and his coaches think of Backus.  He's merely an average LT, but  you don't need to win Super Bowl with elite LT anyway.

At his best, he was an average LT. He has slipped considerably this season and his career-long problems with the outside speed rush have gotten worse to where it is now truly scary to count on him.

Stafford has given him the "WTF are you serious?" look on the sidelines a few times this year.

The Lions are playing really poorly right now. I have to keep remembering that this team only won 6 all of last year so anything more than 8-8 or 9-7 exceeds expectations. But this still is disappointing.

I'm a Browns season ticket holder.  You want to watch suck? We havent scored a freaking touchdown since the Carter administration.

God they are horrible.  And yes - decided to skip the game today and watching it on TV.  They are just as horrible at home as they are in person.

What the hell happened between the Lions with swag from the beginning of the year to this self-destructing group? It can't JUST be stafford hand... This is hard to watch

Michigan slaughters a ranked team on Saturday, Lloyd has a presser afterwards, and the Lions fall on their faces come Sunday.  It's 2006 people!
