You're f%$king kidding me Detroit
OT - NFL Open Thread
My thought process from the last 45 seconds: Wow! The Lions are going to win the Super Bowl!.. I hope the Lions take Taylor Lewan with the 1st pick.
How do the lions manage to crush your dreams like this every single year?
Tillman for Da Bears is at it again. INT.
Seriously one of the most unheralded great cornerbacks of the last 10 years.
This game started much like the Atlanta game did when the Lions went 0-16. Should be a great year :(
This is the beginning of the end of the Schwartz. How the hell you cannot figure out to stop AD after 8 years I don't know.
As opposed to the rest of the NFL that has solved how to stop AP? Lions got worse problems than Peterson.
Likelihood people will remember Adrian Peterson as a greater RB than Barry Sanders? I will guess 55%.
We have hope
I know this isn't exactly news, but Calvin Johnson and Adrian Peterson might be the two most physically gifted players at their respective positions in the history of the league.
And our hope is crushed...
This call is such a joke, if it looks like a catch, and smells like a catch, it's a catch.
Due to "The Process", this reception by Johnson may be overturned. Then again, The Process also requires that you count backwards from 100 in Sumerian as well as maintain possession of the ball.
...and it is. 2nd and 10 at the 20 yard line.
That is literally the worst call ive ever seen. He caught the ball and then extended it. I dont care if it came out later. Interesting that its supposed to be a touchdown the minute the ball touches the white line of the endzone..but the only place on the field the ground is able to cause a fumble/loss of possession is in the end zone.
of the NFL's product.
Calvin didn't even need to reach for the goaline either...he of all people should know the rule by now.
based on the rule. But I think the rule is BS.
I hate the NFL rules for what is and is not a catch, they need a serious common sense revision.
They've missed opportunities early(and F the "process.) but this offense is exciting and Reggie Bush is awesome.
...with a leaping TD catch.
Took a big hit, too. Happy for him
Junior Hemingway with a TD for KC. Waiting for Denard to have a play called for him.
For most safeties on one NFL day. I think we've got three and counting.
The Rams once had three safeties in a single game, themselves.
And intercepted again
Why do the Lions have to be so frustrating to watch?
Suh with a classic stupid penalty... followed by a pick. Why am I watching this again?
"Same old Lions"
I know that's stating the obvious. But this coaching is truly terrible. This team makes the same mistakes they did three years ago. No growth whatsoever as a team.
Good thing is that 4 months fro now we will see a different coach on the sidelines.
That last throw was horrible. Stafford would be better off throwing towards a covered Calvin.
I'm done with the Lions. Watching them is masochistic at this point. Let's go Pats and Jags. Brady, Denard and Henne were my favorite Wolverines.
Alas, he is playing the Lions so he is getting away with it.
I'm glad I don't get too emotionally invested in the lions
Mother of god...
No one fumbles more than Pettigrew
Funchess is the only TE you should throw a screen to.
because of stupid Lions mistakes. Ugh. This franchise sucks.
The first mistake was not calling the absolutely blatant holding on Adrian peterson's touchdown. Horrible no call.
Never has so much talent sucked so much. Not that Detroit has all the talent, but damn it, they've got enough and they just suck.
I hate the Detroit football lions.
Watch sidearm Stafford give it right back
This game is ridiculous
The Lions are stil the stupidest fucking team ever.
Hire Bill Belichick
He's seen us play enough the last few years.
Just give the ball to Megatron or Bush every play for the rest of the game
wow. Will it ever change?
Sam every night he is a winner regardless every Sunday and everyday of the week.
These guys are such goobers! Walk to the line of scrimmage, don't spike the football, and then fumble. Holy mother of god.
Watching the Lions:
Although this is just hilarious
Good god at least they got that right
I'm calling the Lions to allow a kickoff return touchdown right now.
On the brightside, The Emperor is booming 'em.
Did anybody see that Tennessee player safety himself? hahaha
Hemingway sighting on CBS' halftime show
The Lions had the ball for nearly 21 minutes out of the 30 minutes of first half play, had slightly more than twice as many first downs as Minnesota (16 to 7) and have put up almost 100 yards more of offense than Minnesota. The result, as you know, is that they are down by one point.
Why does it not shock me?
Fairley looks like a high level DT...time to trade Suh for something worthwhile that doesnt get penalized.
Any one else see Terrelle Pryor knock over that old man on the sideline when he dove for the first down?
Ridiculously bad luck by lions on calls. They are playing against the refs, a history of bad, and a lot of doubters. This lions team has promise though. Say what you will about Schwartz, but he has a decent product out there. Last year, had they been able to finish drives, they would've had a decent record. This year, it seems that they've turned the corner with a guy like Reggie Bush.
with you. The Lions still have not broken free of their committment to the ridiculous.
Refs got that challenge right, his arm was under the ball.
Reggie Bush. Pretty good.
Vikings with roughing the passer! Automatic first down Detroit!
Baha this drive is ridiculous. PI on the Vikings to keep the drive alive. Gotta capitalize on this fortuitous turn of events.
UDFA. Pettigrew replacement after this year.
Scheffler has done nothing to show that he is a viable TE. Pettigrew at least has the blocking skills to stick.
The Lions have one. The Vikings do not.
I don't want to omake a new thread about it, but Texas fired their DC and will supposedly replace him with Gerg.
