I would love if the Lions ended up with Mychal Kendricks and Janoris Jenkins. It could happen, but not likely. We need a OT, but man is it a weak draft this year for OT... Kalil didn't even grade out that high as far as draft over draft rankings are concerned.

Agreed but Backus has been on his last leg for a while. He had a nice year last year but how many more can he have in the tank? I'm guessing not many if any... Would be nice to get a big time LB, but man I like the value of Kendricks.

Man, Poe film looked weak. He just doesn't bring it on the field. Motor is an issue and he is supposed to be a NT in a 3-4 in KC? That looks like a bad pick in my e-pinion.

Best case scenario: Puts the immaturity behind him. Ends up being far and away the best corner in this draft, and a huge steal in the second round.

Worst case scenario: Goes on a walkabout with Ricky Williams in the Australian outback prior to his rookie season to, "find himself." Breaks the record for most violations of the league's substance abuse policy in one year.

"You know, former Giants GM Ernie Accorsi told Cowherd a few weeks ago that a franchise QB is worth FIVE first round draft picks.  That might be a little bit of an exaggeration but he makes a great point.  You can't put a price tag on being set at the most important position in the game.  You really can't."

Also, they did not give up four players they gave up three... this year's first round pick was a swap.

Also while they gave up 2 first round picks and a second, it is not a guarantee that any or all of those players would have turned out to be starters.

It is a guarantee that RGIII (Not Rex Grossman III) will start at some point this year.

I have a very real fear that the Lions might pull a Millen and take another D-lineman to make it 3 for 3.  Mayhew's commitment to the best available strategy is worrisome.
