Otherwise know as me posting to myself. Though I'm sure the Draft will be popular on the West Coast at 7 am.
Looks like we have an ESPN crew upgrade with Wingo, McShay and Jaws with Kiper.
The NFLN is the ultimate upgrade over the ESPN crew. The ESPN crews are real hard to watch.
Although, today Mayock sounds like he ate a porcupine. The dude has a raspier voice than Barwis.
I don't think they can do worse than the crew they've had the last two days. I just want to hear about these draftees. Hopefully, the coverage today won't be as awkward as the last two days.
I've been watching the stream on NFL.com the last two days, and both days, in the middle of every round they cut to the studio in LA, where they talk about previous picks and storylines, i.e. Jimmah.
I just don't get it, because we have 4 months to talk about previous picks. But the draft comes but once a year, and I want to hear about every pick as it comes through.
just complained that the draft is "over-analyzed."
At least he knows he's expendable.
Ohhh the Raiders. Project Bruce Campbell and now Project Jacoby Ford. They just can't stop staring at the shiny objects.
Well at least they're picking these guys in the fourth round instead of the first round now
Maybe they lied to Al Davis and told him the draft started today?
Does anyone else get the feeling that Jerry Jones has started to go off the deep end in the same way as Al Davis?
They have way bigger needs than WR, but they trade up for Dez Bryant. This after trading a 1,3, and 5 for Roy Williams 2 years ago.
And (AND!) he's drunk all the time, just like Davis.
Every time Mack Brown talks it's a different reason why Colt McCoy is awesome and it's all thanks to him.
You obviously missed his interview last night. Holy crap, it was uncomfortable to watch grown men slather all over each other and the MESSIAH.
Odds on another Michigan player drafted today? What are we thinking 10:1? 20:1?
Zoltans still on the board
He's why I stayed at 10:1. Punters are hit or miss on getting drafted. Only I can think of in the last 2 years is Morestead at New Orleans.
Yeah that was more sarcasm than anything, if a team falls in love it'll work. I'm sure some team will take a chance on Donovan as well.
Warren is getting drafted today.
I'll take 10:1, I gotta believe that someone will like the athleticism of Stevie Brown or the healthy version of Minor. Zoltan gives me hope (mostly in my heart) and Warren is dong punching himself but may go late.
I just have to believe that one of them will go, mostly because I am a homer.
I'm gonna bet that Carlos Brown gets drafted by the Carolina Panthers. I hear they love him and plan on having him on the team whether they draft him or he's an UDFA.
First OSU player taken. That's what I like.
I'd prefer no OSU players be taken.
better get used to carrying lamars bags for the next year...
I don't see that as a good thing.
Northwestern has more (2) players drafted than Michigan and Ohio State.
For some reason, I didn't think Mike Kafka was going to be drafted, but whatever.
feels uncomfortable with only 2 good quarterbacks on his roster so he needed to draft juuuust one more. theyve had a pretty good draft so far to shore up the defense.
I just don't see why you take Kafka now when you have more needs than at QB, especially with Eric Norwood on the board.
Also, do you really think Kafka is a good QB? As an Eagles fan, I already miss McNabb.
he'll sit on the bench for 4 years and then he MIGHT do well and he might not. i can see why u pick him. i dont really know where else you would go if ur an eagle. as to picking eric norwood, i LOVE this guy after watching him play. sadly, the eagles used all their picks on defense and i think that getting another defender would be a bit excessive. they needed to get someone on offense just to balance it out.
obviously this should be a defensive pick, but who?
An offensive tackle.
Where are the Lions going here?
Looks like Sam Young (OT, Notre Dame) is still out there.
What's up with Eric Norwood?
Norwood would have been a nice pick up for the Lions.
And as we all know, no tweener has ever been successful in the NFL.
Ricky Sapp (Clemson)
Thadd Gibson (Ohio State)
Said he started all 47 career games for the 'Canes.
Dude was playing with an injured knee last year. I like Sam Young better but, what do I know?
But if you get a 4 year starter at tackle for a big time program, it's hard to be disappointed.
Sam Young was a four year starter, too, though. I don't mean to hate on Fox; I think the two are pretty much the same guy.
I think this draft has gone very well and hopefully we'll pick Pacman and Bullocks will help patch up the remaining holes on the D until next draft.
The Lions are getting some serious DAP from everyone on ESPN right now
Than they've gotten the last 30 years combined.
How do the lions deserve any love from anyone?
Maybe they should win some games first before we start passing out the gold stars.
I meant that they didn't deserve any dap for the last 30 years.
But why all the Lions anger?
It's not anger, I just don't think lions fans should feel slighted by anybody other than Lions management.
the "Lions management" that you speak of no longer exists. Millen was exiled, in case you forgot.
I must have missed when the Fords sold the team.
where Ford is making the draft picks
all those years they continued to employ Millen.
is he still around? The freaking point is, the management that Lions fans have ill will towards is Millen. Millen is gone.
I will never understand how short lions fans' memories are. Listen, I'm a lions fan as much as the next guy, and I think they're making progress. I like Schwartz and Mayhew, they seem to be making some good moves, but how can you forget where they've been for the last 9 years? That isn't a Millen-only issue. That's a systematic failure.
Again, I hope they turn it around, but the Fords are as much to blame as anyone.
